I've browsed through some of the books for Exalted and I still am confused as to how you play it. Can somebody simplify the rules for me? Pretty please :-)
What are you having problems with?
Also, I believe that White Wolf has a copy of their quick play rules on their website. It should help.

I'm not sure what element you're talking about. You mean resolving skills? Making characters? Well hey I'll start with the dice system and from there if you want more let me know.
You take your stat, say you're hitting someone with a sword. So you see how many dots you have in Dexterity (say 3), and then you look at your Melee skill and see how many dots you have there (say 4). You add that together and roll that many (7) dice. Numbers that come up sevens or higher are "successes". More successes mean you do better. Some things require extra successes, but for the sake of stabbing someone with a sword what it means is one success hits the guy, more successes mean you do more damage--one extra die rolled per extra success.
Damage is a handful of dice equal to your Strength, plus extra successes to hit, plus the damage rating of the weapon. Each success deals a level of damage off the health ticker of the badguy.
Now mind you, the badguy can block or dodge your attack, whereupon his successes cancel yours. Also armor and stamina allow characters to be less injured by attacks, subtracting a raw number of successes from your total--sorta' Exalted's version of damage reduction.
There you go.
