HIRELINGS

-Ulf Gormundr (CN human ranger (transporter) 5) [guide]
Half-Varki and half-Ulfen, Ulf has had a complicated past and a difficult life despite his young age. He is also one of only a very few guides known to have traversed the Crown of the World and returned alive. He is in the employ of the PCs as a reward for their saving of his sister. He is intense and he takes no s#$&.

This Varki teenager has been living in the rough and tumble Land of the Linnorm Kings tundra her whole life, and was trained in tracking and survival by her father. Kidnapped by the Rimerunners' merchant guild, she was rescued by the PCs from their guild-house. She is unsure, but loyal.

The Caravan

The caravan is made up of two supply wagons, a fortune-teller's wagon, and a passenger wagon. Ten people can ride inside of the wagons at a time as passengers.

The caravan is upgraded with a ballista, which is placed atop one of the supply wagons.

In total, the caravan can carry 30 units of cargo. It currently carries 14 units of cargo - 10 units of dried travel food and 4 units of marijuana.

SIGNIFICANT NPCs

- Asvig Longthews: A Ulfen ring-giver, or landowner with a standing body of followers. His crest was found on a number of raiders who conducted a nighttime attack on Sandru's caravan. He is known to be particularly tall. Defeated at the hands of the PCs, he died to a blood geas.

- Fynn Svaenald: Sixty years ago, Ameiko's grandfather sold the sword Suishen to this man, and as far as Ameiko knows, it is he that is the best lead towards finding the sword again. He gave the PCs the right to pursue blood vengeance to recover it. After the PCs recovered his sword, he gave his blessing for them to keep it.

- Thorborg Silverskorr: Ostensibly a silk merchant, this shadowy and mysterious woman is the leader of the Rimerunners' Guild, which has stood in the PCs way for their entire stay in the Land of the Linnorm Kings. It was revealed that she was really an ogre mage martial artist named Kimandatsu, who served the legendary and dangerous Five Storms. The PCs killed her in her sanctum at Ravenscraeg.

- Anamurumon: The leader of the Five Storms oni who conquered Minkai and destroyed all of its ruling noble families decades ago. A wind yai, he used human servants to kill Minkai's emperor and assumed partial rulership over the nation.

House Rules:
1. Rolling a natural 1 or a natural 20 on a skill check, attack roll or saving throw provides a -10 (on a natural 1) or a +10 (on a natural 20) bonus or penalty to the check. Rolling a natural 1 or a natural 20 on any other roll has no effect.

2. With the exception of classes whose abilities explicitly mention it, taking 10 or taking 20 is not allowed. If there is no penalty for failure, I simply won't ask you to roll certain checks.

3. When crafting magic items, one cannot ignore a prerequisite. All prerequisites must be met. Multiple creatures can contribute to a single item's creation, though.

4. When you make a combat maneuver and you don't have the relevant Improved feat, you only provoke an attack of opportunity if you fail the combat maneuver.

5. Crossbows deal bonus damage, as if they had inherent strength bonuses. Hand crossbows deal 1 bonus damage, light crossbows deal 2 bonus damage, and heavy crossbows deal 4 bonus damage.

6. Fractional Advancement, Background Skills, and Wound Thresholds are in effect.
