Do we know when signups begin for the PFS organized play scenarios?
Wednesday May 9th 10am PST, I believe.

Once you get through the wall of secrecy the forum is a very helpful tool putting me in touch with all the area organizers allowing me to interact with planning as well as sign up and suggest events.
In Portland we have a shared Google spreadsheet for GMs to sign up on. Roughly 10-14 days before the event games get published to Warhorn, Paizo, etc.
Yes Warhorn lacks some features like an easy way to contact the GM or being able to sign up for others (eg, parents, spouses, etc), but at least you have a public schedule that new players can sign up on easily.
Though there's nothing preventing your GMs from publishing events to Warhorn, Paizo, etc too.

Signing up through the local forums allows much greater precision over what can be played (e.g. "I can Play Table 1 or 2, wherever you need me"), etc. You can't have signups in multiple places, that's just bad policy. I do did 'publish' the gameday on Paizo as well - but run out of pre-scheduled days occasionally it became far too much of a hassle to add each gameday.
Overall it's a high barrier for entry, but quite effective. I've used Yahoo Polls and Warhorn previously, this works better as far as signing up goes. We do use Warhorn for mini-cons and such where one thread would be overwhelmed.
If you want to run something, email me (see profile), I can set you up.
And yes, the admin approval is to keep out spam, protect privacy.

In a way I feel bad for not volunteering to run SFS instead of PFS at Paizocon after hearing this sentiment. I try to GM a SFS game once a month with my PFS/SFS group and I've only done about five games so far. We have had 2-3 players signing up most weeks and have had to cancel a few times.
If it makes you feel any better, I signed up with a preference for SFS and a comment that I was willing to run anything and ended up with 6 slots of PFS and no SFS. I certainly left myself open for this but I feel like it kind of shows that volunteering to run SFS wouldn't have necessarily changed anything.

I just got two emails to check my account for "Pathfinder Society" for action I needed to take.I have no such thing, and Org Play only brings up things I've played.
Am I having a Gross Conceptual Error?
I got the same thing I asked CS about it here http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2v3nk?Request-to-Participate-in-Event#1

Currently have two 'grade school' scenarios (1-2, 1-4) before my highest level character qualifies for 'junior high' (3-6) in Starfinder. Hopefully, though, none of my Starfinder characters will be 'locked' in a PbP.
Have fun on Monday, if you don't make it in over there I'll be running a Quest series, too. (PFS)

I suspect Pathfinders of your renown have already delved Beyond the Halflight Path, but should another mission not present itself the Duskwardens always welcome those insane brave enough to venture beneath Kaer Maga.
They will even endeavor to test your mettle against threats you have yet to encounter.
