It's Dangerous to Go Alone!

Friday, April 21, 2017

On the heels this month's sixth Bestiary volume comes the Pathfinder RPG Adventurer's Guide! Being an adventurer comes with it's own set of perilous challenges, but with the help of allies, a well-supplied pack, and an alliance with one of Golarion's powerful organizations, your character can go far. Until we begin exploring the finer details of the Adventurer's Guide on the blog over the next few weeks, take a look at the just-revealed final cover, featuring prolific characters from the Pathfinder campaign setting.

The first book to mix Golarion lore with freely available rules.
Personally i think this is long overdue, as i know NOBODY in Germany who makes a distinction between the rulesbooks and the Golarion setting. ;-)

Looking forward to buy the hardcover next month!

Huzzah.

Oh I can't wait to see what they have in here.

Sweet cover.

Since I had to double-check one of them: Red-Mantis Assassin, Order of the Scourge Hellknight, Grey Maiden.

Although, I think this is the first time I've seen OotS with any weapon besides their traditional chain/whip thing. Edit: Doh! It's called a scourge.

That is 100% where I went with it too.

I still find the title of this one kind of weird, wishing they had gone with something like "Ultimate Factions" or "Faction Codex", but I can't help but love that pretty cover.

I love how imposing the Hellknight looks, towering over the other two. I adore how Reynolds managed to capture the insectile look of the Red Mantis, and I like how the Grey Maiden is placed before the others, making all three pop very nicely.

The cover is simple, but effective. Nice work indeed.

Good to know that the previews are coming! Wouldn't it be awesome if the inside art for the prestige classes characters where just as good in quality and details as the art for the iconics, if not by W.R. himself.

I agree and I do wonder the same thing! Adventurer's Guide brings up a way different feeling of content..

I too am not sure on the title. I think I will wait for more blog posts to reveal more content before making up my mind on that. But the cover art is certainly cool. I'm trying to figure out the back story on why these three are fighting side by side. I can see how their motivations might align, but what is the red mantis doing storming through a gate, instead of stalking in the corner?

Mini-derail. This book would be the perfect chance to spend a modest amount of page count fixing Bardic Masterpieces.

You could literally make that case about ANY book.

Dark Archive

Perhaps, but something as generically themed as 'Adventurer's guide' is a better fit then say a hypothetical Occult adventures 2.
