Unfortunately, there is no change log from Season 7 to 8. There have been a lot of changes though.
- delay of character rebuild
- reroll list is on a separate web page (going live tomorrow barring any issues)
- pregen death rules
- community standards statement
- fame score gives bonus to diplomacy (+1 for every 10 points)
- addition of a glossary
- plus many more changes

This isn't a change, it's just in a list now so it's easier to read.
[quote "Guide 7.0"]Benefits of Fame
A character’s Fame represents her renown and status
within her faction. For every 10 points of Fame, a character
gains a cumulative +1 bonus on Diplomacy checks made
against members of her faction. Her Fame might also
afford her certain titles and incidental privileges and
allow her to purchase spells and items from her faction
between scenarios. A character’s Fame score determines the
maximum gp value of any items she can purchase from her
faction, as detailed in Table 5–3 below. The character must
still actually spend the gold to receive the desired item. For
double weapons, calculate the cost of each end separately
when considering Fame purchasing limits.
It's been there since at least season 4, which is when a player pointed it out to me, though I've never seen it used since you rarely talk to an NPC member of your faction that you have to Diplomacize.

It first appeared in 4.0 (Season 3) when we switched to Fame/Prestige from TPA/CPA. At the time there were still nation-state factions so it was actually a decent benefit to an Osirion faction member taking a trip to Sothis (or equivalents).

Thanks for the updated Guide. I like a lot of the clarifications I've seen so far. I did catch what appears to be a typo that may cause some confusion. On p. 16, under GM Star Rewards, one of the benefits is listed as, "A bonus number of free rerolls (see Rerolls on page 36) equal to the number of GM stars earned." I'm guessing that this should be have "A bonus number on free rerolls..." - as much as I would like more than one reroll per session, I don't think it would be fair.

John Compton clarified in another thread that this was in fact a typo. Rerolls carry a +1 per star bonus for those GMs with stars and not one reroll per GM star.
