September 2021 Organized Play Update

Those of you with high Perception modifiers will notice that this section has a new title. As of Monday, I have been promoted to Paizo’s Organized Play Coordinator! This is a very exciting change that Tonya and I have been working toward for a while. I am now responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of the program, as well as the long-term planning for Organized Play. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I’m very excited by the prospect!
Organized Play Update: Increased Rewards for Sanctioned Content

As we recently announced, we will be producing fewer Pathfinder and Starfinder Society Scenarios in 2022, and we’ll be using sanctioned content such as the Digital One Shots to help fill some of the gaps in the schedule. To help ease this change and fix some long-outstanding issues, we’ve also updated the rewards for some of our older sanctioned content to match our plans moving forward. The changes are detailed below; in particular, we hope you all enjoy the boost in spending money and Reputation!
August 2021 Organized Play Update

The news last week about reduced scenario production is, of course, disappointing. We’re saddened that we won’t be bringing as much new Pathfinder and Starfinder Society content to your tables, but we hope you will take this opportunity to try out some of our other sanctioned content for both programs. I myself am starting to plan for a Strength of Thousands run with some of our local players, and I’m very excited for it!
July 2021 Organized Play Update

Recently, I foolishly declared that because a couple of our major conventions were delayed, this summer wouldn’t be as bad on the convention front. I retract this statement! We’ve got PAX Online this month, PaizoCon Europe Online next month, and Gen Con after that. Oh, and after that is my wedding. So much for my relaxing summer!
Convention Update & Call to Vol!!!

PAX Online is happening July 15–18, 2021 and we’re bringing Paizo Organized Play events to the convention. During the day, we are focused on demos and bounties to engage new players to try out a session. After the show floor closes, we’ve got full scenario blocks planned, focusing on low-level scenarios and scenarios with included pregens.
June 2021 Organized Play Update

I thought about writing “no musings, head empty, only PaizoCon” in this space but Tonya told me I couldn’t I decided against it. Instead, I’m going to take this space to give a shout-out to some people who went above and beyond in making PaizoCon Online happen this year. Please note that I’m writing this two days before the convention due to deadlines, so if I forgot someone, I can still blame Convention Brain.
