Blood Chemist question about alchemical circles.

Blood Alchemist
I was a little sad that the closest thing to an Artificer/FMA character ended up being in the super cold blooded murderer archetype, but it's workable. Worst case might houserule to allow only taking the Alchemical Circles in place of bombs feature as the other two are pretty horror niche.

The question I had in regards to the Alchemical Circles though, and I'm eager to hear of what fun and cool uses you had with them as well!

To refresh on the mechanic: The alchemist has his level + int modifier in bloodpoints, by spending 1 minute and 1 point, he can draw an alchemical circle on the ground, or wall or a permanent fixture (such as a table perhaps?). He then uses an extract slot and depending on the level, he can cast a spell from a specific spell list at will as a spell-like ability. He must still learn and add the desired spells to his formula book the same way a wizard adds them, and must use expensive components during the circle creation or casting per cast.

He chooses one of the spells listed on page 45 of equal or lower level to the extract slot he spent, and until he refreshes his extract slots, as long as his body is in physical contact with the circle, he can produce the effect of the spell he chose as a spell-like ability.
1. If he leaves or ceases touching the circle and then returns, does the text support that he can continue casting the spell in the circle at will, since it doesn't say that the circle loses it's power when he steps away?

The chosen effect can target or affect only something contained within the circle, or the surface on which the blood alchemist drew the circle.
2. In cases that affect the environment, such as Expeditious Excavation, is it fair to assume that you can move the alchemical circle can be moved with the surface. Example case: The alchemist is forming a new lab. He needs a secret entrance so he places the circle on a hill and starts shaping a corridor, pushing the circle ahead and moving earth around him while he moves forward?

1.) yes, he just has to be in contact with the circle, going away from it does not destroy the circle, he just can't use it.

2.) GM discretion, but I'd say it only works if you're moving the whole slab its on.

Thanks you, that helps some. For the 2nd, was thinking that square it's in would simply move ahead with his hand pressed to it, but will have to look into it.

Note that it's a 10ft diameter for the circle (large sized creature squarage) so he needs to move 4 squares at the same time.
