One more example of how much better work Paizo is getting out of Wizkids than WotC are. This imp looks miles better than the new one in the Monster Menagerie set. Might even be as good as the old Angelfire imp, which is to date is my favorite.
The Giant Eagle looks better than the old WotC one does, I think, though I confess I like the bendy flying sticks on the old WotC minis. I never worry about breaking the old Giant Eagles off their bases, whereas I worry constantly about breaking any Wizkids mini on a flying stick. I understand why Wizkids uses a more rigid plastic, but I still think overall the more bendy plastic from the old Wizkids minis was preferable. Most of those minis are pretty hard to damage, whereas all of Wizkids' minis -- Pathfinder, D&D, Heroclix, Mage Knight, you name it -- break pretty readily.

The details do look good, but bear in mind these are digital sculpt a aren't they? So the detail will be a lot better in these. I hope that detail in these two translates well, like you Cleanthes I love the old angelFire version but this had potential to outshine even that one.
The eagle is enormous! He'll cheerfully replace my existing ones, so more impact.
So Erik, ranks of demons - note the es's. I shall now sqwee with joy.....Anh, done.
I also note with hollow discord the need to space things out until October. Does that mean no more iconics sets? No additional releases in the battles lines?

The imp is a "double line mini" but as almost every time it is far superior to the D&D version.
I like it.
The large Eagle is also a better version than the old D&D version - more dynamic and also flying (although i agree with the breaking issue but that is not to be helped as the plastic composition has changed).
If you show us 2 minis every friday the remaining 42 computer renders will get you till september 9th.
Three and a half weeks later on october 5th the set is due, so no need to spread out these previews, you can still show us actual production versions for the last weeks. ;-)
On another note (since i don't know where else to post this):
Shouldn't the "2016 Paizo product catalogue" be coming up soon?
Thank you, i hope you had a great vacation and got some cool inspirations south of the border.

That Eagle is going to be enormous! How are you going to fit him in a booster box?
A fourth Imp? I say bring him on, he really looks good. I think my favorite Quasit was Gimcrak, he makes the perfect familiar for the wizard who cares enough to equip his tiny companion. An Imp along those same lines would have been great, too.
I know we're only ten figures in to this set, so far. But if the rest follow suit with what you've revealed so far, we are in for a treat. I can't wait to see what "dungeon dressing" pieces you've come up with this time.

Ugh, giant eagles, pet peeve #42 that I have with Pathfinder. Why oh WHY did you wonderful people at Paizo make them Magical Beasts instead of Animals? It would have helped druid lovers out so much if you had just made them animals. Well, maybe if we get a feat that lets druids wildshape into magical beasts one day it'll all be solved. Until then I guess...

You have made me very happy indeed.

Yes. I plan to start working on it next week.

Cool, thank you for the info.
I hope it will not keep you away from this great minis blog.Did you already sent the minis suggestions for "Set 12" to wizkids or is there still time to wish for some creatures?
When i think about "Icons of the Realms Set 5" already coming in july 2016 and "Deadly Foes" in october 2016, i can't help but wonder when exactly "PFB Set 12" will be released.
January 2017 seems too early, so maybe around april 2017?
I know that is not your decision, i am just thinking aloud.
Greetings from Germany.:-)

At some point in the future I'm hoping we'll get for a female fire Giant and/or hill giant. Perhaps some more variety in Giants; cave giant, shadow giant (amazing art in ISB)and/or ash giant in the future sets.
I wouldn't object to an Erinyes in this set, grounded without peg, since the art for one is quite good. Of course an ice devil or bone devil would be much better. What's really missing in the outsiders though are psychopomps and Kytons.
It would also be good to get a few more of the NPCs from the codex, there is some tremendous art in there, especially the top hat wearing evil Halfling!
Finally perhaps some of the more esoteric PC style races, elemental kin like ifrit, oread etc. but especially a rat folk, there just isn't a small rat man yet in PPM (I did repaint a kobold devil speaker to represent my rat witch, and while it passes it's not as good as having the actual mini)

I have a preliminary list, but haven't finished it yet and certainly haven't sent it to WK yet.
I expect you already have cunningly worked some Mythos creatures into the Deadly Foes set, knowing in advance that the next AP would be "Strange Aeons", so i won't ask for them.
I'm a big fan of basic monsters from the first Bestiary, which you are steadily including into each set.
So i hope that some of these are in either DF or Set 12:
-Ankheg
-Ant, Giant
-Ape, Dire
-Archon, Hound
-Archon, Lantern
-Basidirond
-Boar
-Cave Fisher

Way back when a certain company was putting miniatures for creatures smaller than Small on to 1/2" bases, so that more than one could be fitted into a square. Is this no longer possible?
There were 6! tiny minis produced.
I have 4 of them and they are great, but i don't think the effort is worth it for a company.Maybe i'm wrong.

I was originally disappointed in the lack of tiny bases (and the general lack of huge minis). But I've come to embrace the tiny minis on small bases, because they are now coming on long thin pegs that put them at eye level of standard medium creatures. The blood bug, bat, owl and hawk are great examples. If you look at the old DDM tiny miniatures, they are mostly sitting on their base directly or only marginally elevated. The play value of having them in a more encounter level elevation is worth the trade-off in my opinion. The squat tinies seem to get lost on the table when mized with other size creatures.

It might be possible. I dunno. I haven't tried.
As much as I liked being able to put multiple Tiny figures in one square, I really did not like how often they seemed to tip over. The Quasit, for example, would never stand up.
So I decided to put them on Small bases to help with balance issues, and figure the trade-off is worth it.

Soo...
If we post a new list like this every week, with slight overlap, by the end of november we can deduct exactely which minis are in the set ;-)Berk the Black |

Fair enough. :)
Whilst we on the subject of multiple miniatures in one square, can I bring up flat swarms?
I second this. Usabilty outweighs aesthetics with swarms.
The real challenge is to come up with a good flying swarm solution. The D&D Swarm of Bats is pretty good, but still sacrifices some of the swarm mechanics by restricting the swarm to a 10' x 10' configuration. This is certainly better than no flying swarms at all, and
having a swarm of flying creatures in and above medium creatures gives a good feel to an encounter.

If i had to guess i'd put my money on the 2 archons and 3 devils.Very excited for the next fridays and october.
9 out of 60 is great!
Thanks, Eric!

Kyton, giant mantis, the 3 Devils, hound archons, basidirond or violet fungus, mohr, shocker lizard. Well that's what I'd like anyway.
As an aside I'd actually prefer one or two Kytons other than the standard evangelist.

Fortunately, between Monster Codex and the Bestiary, there are plenty of options. ^_^
There's a female vampire spawn in Dungeons of Dread too, but the general point is well taken.
