Hey, Pathfinder fans! It’s Mark Moreland, your friendly neighborhood Director of Brand Strategy, with a bit of exciting news about web fiction over the next few months. Today, to celebrate the release of the second-edition Pathfinder Beginner Box next week, we’re launching the first chapter of a serialized novella by fan-favorite author, Liane Merciel (Nightglass, Nightblade, Hellknight).

Continuing our series looking back on Pathfinder fiction, including free web fiction and short fiction, we now turn to novels!

Our fiction series like the recent Tales From The Drift and The Windsong Testaments are only links in the chain, nay, pearls in the necklace in the legacy of bringing the Lost Omens and Pact Worlds settings to life. Last week we looked at free web fiction of the past. This week we revisit our short fiction!

In the toughest of times, people have always shared stories with each other, whether as a respite from harsh realities, to share a common vision and pull together as a community, or to simply boost morale. We are pausing our weekly flash fiction for five weeks and during this time, we’ll take a walk down memory lane. Will we revisit the Pathfinder fiction available today, including free web fiction, short fiction, novels, comics, and audio adventures. It's time to refuel our fantasy-fiction belt pouches and inspire new escapades!

As we close out 2014, I wanted to end on a high note and give you one last year-end blog. I went to our Managing Art Director Sarah Robinson and Senior Art Director Andrew Vallas to get some help rounding up some favorite illustrations from the past year. Seeing how great their selections were, I also asked various members of our editorial team to pick a few of their own favorites to add. So here are some of our best illustrations from 2014!
