Wondering - will there be a Keynote speech this year?

Last year there was one with Erik Mona but don't see anything in the schedule.

Second Seekers (Jadnura)

I'll be hanging out at Drifter's End!

Seconded! I'm happy to learn of panels that are happening, but no information about a keynote panel is disappointing.

These will be Twitch Streamed by the time stated right? And I 3rd the no Keynote speech??

Thanks

Tom

PS Bummer we are getting less and less panels at GENCON but it is what it is I guess.

man i hope someone asks them about the Dark Archive and Secrets of Magic remaster

Yeah, I got questions. Will any of the panels be streamed on Twitch like they have been in previous years? Will we get a Keynote telling us the biggest reveals for this coming year? Or is everything just gonna be at the con only?

As someone who has only been able to experience PaizoCon and GenCon via the online experiences, I hope there's at least some kind of attempt for an online element this year. There's a huge portion of us who would appreciate some kind of online presentation this year, please.

DA's remaster is coming out next year. And by this point, Paizo probably has a "Days since Barnes and Noble leaked an upcoming title" sign.

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32

The Gen Con event catalogue says the Starfinder seminar is on Saturday, not Friday, at 10 am.

I hope the event list is accurate because I have a conflict on Friday, ironically playing SFS 2e.

Since when have APs been quarterly, have I missed an announcement?

They've been doing 3-part Adventure Paths for a while now. So 3-part APs = 4 APs per year = Quarterly release, basically.

I would caution everyone to temper their expectations in regards to panel streams. Paizo has never been great at posting or streaming their GenCon panels (except for the years that GenCon was online). I really hope they do stream or at least record and post them, but they only posted two panels from last year, and one of those was the liveplay.

Unless they explicitly say they will, I would not count on them streaming or posting the panels.

Ah, one Adventure Path per quarter, not one volume per quarter, that makes more sense.

I really hope we get a keynote like usual. I love the big reveals, more info on the impossible playtest final book is mostly what I wish for. Runesmith especially is an awesome concept.

Hey there, Paizo friends!

While we deeply appreciate your love for our multiple keynotes, we are exploring new opportunities in that area and moving away from having two keynotes only two months apart. It’s a lot of weight on our team to get those recorded so close together, especially with the intense amount of prep that goes into shows like Gen Con. It also often means just holding an announcement we could have made at Paizo Con. Having talked about so many cool things at Paizo Con already and facing the launch of both Starfinder Second Edition and our upcoming Pathfinder Quest campaign, we made the decision to give our staff time to provide you with more online interactions during the show instead. You can watch our Paizo Con Keynote here to get caught up on what we’re doing, and we’ll have so many other fun ways to interact online and at the show!

Additionally, we heard what you had to say last year about missing the panels and wishing you could have them online, so we took that extra time and pre-recorded a few panels for Gen Con, so that those staying home wouldn’t have to miss out due to spotty connections at the events. We’ll have those live the day the panels are happening at the show!

We’ve also lined up some fun interviews and online events you can participate in during the show. Keep an eye on our blog next Thursday for the complete list and other exciting announcements made during Gen Con weekend! While you wait for the full list of activities, here are the things you’ll be able to check out from the comfort of your home:

And finally, if you’re just hoping to catch more of our fantastically charismatic publisher online, you can join us back here on Aug 15th for a special Live announcement where Erik Mona and other talented team members chat about upcoming adventures and what you can expect heading into 2026! Note: In order to better facilitate Gen Con recovery for some of our staff, we've moved the Live announcement to August 22nd.

So future products are possibly being talked about on August 15th? A lot of those panels sound wonderful but I don't really have the schedule to watch all of them hoping for sneak peaks, so for me the one hour synopsis was great. As far as products coming out next week, I'm already sold on battlecry and sf2e!

THANK YOU!

Both for letting us know what will explicitly be available online, and for having those things in the first place. There's a reason y'all are my favorite tabletop company. :)

Where can I get that Pathfinder/Starfinder Society GM screen?

Now I'm wondering what organized play rules would be useful to add to a GM screen.

Hi BJ! Quick question, what time zone are these supposed to go live? I know the Starfinder Launch panel is scheduled for 10am eastern time at Gen Con, so if that's being streamed at the same time that gives a lot of context for the rest of the schedule. Just wasn't sure if those were in Gen Con's time zone or Seattle's time zone. Thanks!

Hey Lindley!

All of the times in this blog are listed in Eastern time, because the team will be in Indy (and thus working on Eastern time) for the weekend! Thanks for asking!

I notice this is a different day than what was posted in the blog post. In the blog post it states that the Launch Sequence Panel is on Friday:

Get Ready for Gen Con! Blog Post wrote:

The GenCon website link in that quoted blog post also states the same time that BJ Hensley posted, so I think that BJ Hensley is correct, but most folks will only read the blog post and move on with the incorrect information, assuming that I am right. Someone from Paizo should probably look into this to avoid a potential problem. I only noticed it since I reread the blog post and these forum posts to confirm what I wanted to schedule time off to do for this week.

The Saturday time is correct (Gen con changed the time on us after we posted the previous blog post), and this will be reflected in our blog that goes out this Thursday!

I hope everyone has a fun time at Gen Con!

Hey Maya, it was so lovely to meet you at Gen Con this year. You're somehow even more lovely in person!

Also THANK YOU for moving the Paizo Live Announcement to August 22nd. For those of us who were on the GM Indentured Servitude plan at GenCon, we had no chance to catch any of those streaming events live. I look forward to seeing the announcements on the 22nd!
