Paizo Golem Vigilant with a headset and mic over the paizocon online text logo

We’ve written about the hundreds of Paizo Organized Play games occurring at PaizoCon Online, and the Paizo Events Discord is taking shape, with many partners and contributors hosting content in their channels. We are adding channels daily, including a #giveaway channel, where attendees can enter to win some awesome prizes. Thank you to all our Paizo Licensed Partners who contributed to our giveaways.

Today, we wanted to share our schedule of seminars and live-plays running on our Twitch channel. We’re pleased to have Know Direction return as hosts of this year’s PaizoCon Online alongside Paizo Marketing and Media Manager Aaron Shanks.

Times for all events are Pacific Daylight time (GMT –7), and you can catch everything on Paizo’s official Twitch channel.

Thanks for the input. We value devoted partners and established relationships, but there is already room for more. Who would you like to hear more of?

I hope someone asks about the Kusari-Gama in the Tournament of Champions panel.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Paizo is reaching out to Know Direction for interviews, KD is initiating the request. So maybe its just a matter of those other channels reaching out to Paizo's marketing department and scheduling an interview?

I don't know, a channel that likes PF2e? Channels that come to mind include How It's Played, Nonat1s, Collective Arcana.

A Pathfinder Adventure Card Game postmortem panel would be my biggest dream announcement.

Well, second only to Starfinder Adventure Card Game Announced! wishful thinking.

Know Direction has archival audio recordings of PaizoCon seminars going back for years and that is a tradition I want to see continue. They, sometimes with a staff of 4-5, have helped us technically bring PaizoCon to fans on Twitch for a couple years now. When our Marketing Manager left Paizo shortly before PaizoCon and I was asked to produce an event I had never attended, let alone run before, they were there. When the pandemic forced us to create PaizoCon online with short notice, they were there. They know our products and people deeply. There are few organizations with knowledge and resources like that in our community, but I am motived to nurture growth of the smaller, newer orgs.

That said, they are independent media so their occasional criticisms of our products come with the territory. I don't think any of us would want less sincerity.

We are evolving. This year, PaizoCon and Paizo LIVE tech production has been contracted to our licensed partners, The Dragons and Things Network, and Know Direction will act simply act as guest interviewers at PaizoCon.

Many Officially Licensed Partners will have Discord channels on our PaizoCon server to interact with you. We will have more details about that schedule next week.

The other media channels you mention are indeed valuable members of the Paizo Community. In fact, within recent days we have taken action to increase communication with such content creators in an exciting way. I think you will see them on Discord at this PaizoCon and you will see more of them at future cons. I could see mixing up interviewers in the future, it just takes more time, energy, and coordination to put together.

Throughout the year, interview requests can be made to me at press@paizo.com. We consider staff time and media audience size in our approvals of these requests.

Thanks for your input. Keep it coming.

Thanks for the reply. I'm speaking purely selfishly, because I'd like to watch all the PaizoCon events. But Ryan Costello, from the little I've seen of him, pretty obviously intensely dislikes PF2e, to put it mildly. If he is involved, I'll be missing your content.

I will be playing though!

Then you haven't watched for a while, as Ryan warmed up to it since he played a battle oracle in the APG playtest. The APG brought a lot of things he liked and has been pretty positive about PF2 since then.

Also, Know Direction people are not the "panelists" in these panels. They act more as "moderators", and speak very little.
Even if one of them dislikes PF2, you won't see it in these panels.
When they talk the most is between the panels. You can just skip those.

No, I certainly haven't, but okay.

Hey so, Know Direction Pre-Seminar Discussion's on Sat & Sun, Secrets of the Pact Worlds, and both SUnday Ask the Experts are missing from the Warhorn links. Also looks like all the titles are out of date and they're still using the images with the generic schedule. I'm setting up scheduled posts on the pathfinder2E subreddit and noticed that.

Did I miss it, or is there not going to be a "Coming This Year" kind of preview they would do at the banquet?

I'm late to ask but I do wish you'd offer an .ics calendar subscription for this, as most of the world is not familiar with adjusting PDT timezone to their local timezone. In the absence of that, include UTC timezone would be useful. I missed half the keynote as it started at 7am Saturday morning for me and the twitch app on iOS didn't offer me the opportunity to go back.
