Then he fires a flaming bolt from his crossbow at the final troll.

Meanwhile, Waffles turns at the sound of carnage and his arcanist's cackling to find only one remaining troll.

Orange is quickly finished off by the combined efforts of the party.

Niadroub cackles with glee as he drops fire onto Green then adds insult to injury by plinking him with a flaming crossbow bolt. Ending his pain and confusion permanently.

All Trolls dead in two rounds. Nice work.

You hear confused shouts from deeper in the trees as the sounds of combat reach those following the Trolls.

Yala quaffs a pair of her elixirs, of ironskin and shield, in preparation for further combat.

Marten casts bless weapon on Falling Leaf, then looks to see where the team's mages direct him, in case they're planning to make more pits or traps.

Vibenia quickly runs to cross the river, moving to and climbing the rock outcropping to gain a better vantage point, while whistling a signal to Dusk to stick with Marten and Yala.

Niadroub Kliip casts vanish on himself so that he's not a target up on the rock. He'll stow his crossbow and pull out his wand of lightning bolt. He leaves the flaming sphere out of sight in the pit for now.

Vanish lasts for 5 rounds, so that's good if they're 4 rounds away. The flaming sphere has 8 more rounds to go, and it can jump out of the 30 foot pit when it's time. The pit has 9 more rounds to go.

Waffles will hide in a nearby tree and refresh his greater invisibility the round before the soldiers arrive at his trap prank. He'll do his very best to control his snickering.

Silent image DC is Will 14 to negate, but you have to interact with it to disbelieve, which will probably too late for the soldiers. The grease is DC Reflex 14.

Colwyn takes some time to quickly prepare a couple arrows with scorpion venom to target especially important enemies from the coming cadre. He then slips back into hiding for his second ambush.

Using two rounds to coat two arrows with Large Scorpion Venom, then using a round to hide.

As Niadroub Kliip vanishes, Vibenia chuckles to herself, nodding at the arcanist's idea and deploying a more naturist version of his defense herself, fading into the background, while you are not truly invisible, yo pinpointing her becomes difficult due to her semi-translucent-state.

Cast Chameleon Stride (10 mins). +4 bonus on Stealth checks and have concealment from creatures more than 5 feet away (attacks have a 20% miss chance).

You soon hear shouting and cursing as a group forces their way through the trees. "What have those stinking beasts got themselves into?" One voice snarls.

The investigating group rushes out and looks the dead Trolls in disbelief.

Chortling in glee that one of the soldiers fell into his clever trap, Waffles pauses his laughter long enough to cast sleep at the three closest targets.

Noting one of the mercenaries seeming to give directions to the others, Vibenia opts to cut the head of the proverbial snake, as a shot streaks across the distance from a vaguely flickering translucent outline, to lodge itself deep in the mercenary leader.

With the few moments they had before the mercenaries arrived Zelera moved up as she drew her dagger and then began to prepare herself for the coming fight. She cast a spell to duplicate herself making multiple images move in and out of each other, one to aid her in battle, and then cast another prayer to draw on divine fervor to bless her allies.

I move uo, cast mirror image on myself, aid on myself, and blessing of fervor on the party.

By the time she was done the enemies came into view and Xelera quickly cast a spell to sow maximum chaos in the army's ranks..

Zelera saw one of the mercenaries trying to slip past their line and get to Colwyn so she did what made the most sense, she intercepted him. Zelera stepped up and lashed out with her dagger in two quick strikes.

Zelera was not pleased that she was being ignored, of course she was also pleased by this because it meant he wasn't trying to kill her yet. That would change soon enough she figured as she got ready to take two more swipes at him. As she did she realized just how badly Marten was injured and changed her strategy, this thug wasn't worth her time after all. Instead Zelera stuck her tongue out at him and stepped back as she cast a spell to heal Marten.

Vibenia lets out a sigh of relief as Zelera disengages and her opponent thinks better of going after her, likely choosing not to approach Marten after watching another of his fellows cut down. As the man chooses instead to go after the isolated Colwyn, he elects himself her next target, earning himself a backful of crossbow bolts.

Waffles noticed the one soldier trying to climb out of the pit, so he casts silent image to make it seem like a spiked grate has fallen over the top. When he thinks about the Pit spell ending, and the soldiers rising up towards the illusory spikes, he can't help but snicker.

Then puts her last two shots deep into Yellow.

Niadroub adds to Orange's misery with a Magic missile

Green & Magenta at the bottom of the pit look up and groan in despair as a 'spiked grate' closes the pit they can't seem to climb out of.

Colwyn can act. Orange & Yellow look badly wounded. Green & Magenta are out of sight at the moment.

Yellow looks around in desperation, the only survivors besides himself are at the bottom of a deep pit. He turns and runs!
