T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Hoodies and More!

Tuesday, November 5, 2019

Paizo has been searching for better ways to deliver the kinds of apparel you want to see for both Starfinder and Pathfinder. For years, we’ve commissioned shirt designs, bringing them to PaizoCon and GenCon before selling them on paizo.com. Ensuring you get to pick the styles, sizes, and colors was a challenge that we haven’t been able to overcome...until now.

Today, we announce a new store on Amazon that has a plethora of apparel options we could only dream of offering directly. In addition to men’s, women’s, and youth sizes, you’ll also have the ability to choose:

Hoodies& Sweatshirts
Long Sleeve T-shirts
Raglan Baseball Tee
Tank Top
T-shirts & Premium Tees
Women’s V-neck T-shirts
Zip Hoodie

What’s the Difference Between T-shirts and Premium Tees? The premium shirts have a slimmer fit than regular t-shirts and tend to have a more buttery feel to the cotton.

Are these cotton shirts? Yes, but the amount depends on style and color. Solid colors tend to have more cotton, while heather tends to have less. This can vary quite a bit, so make sure to check the materials after you’ve chosen your style and color and adjust your size if needed to account for some shrinking.

Each style has up to 10 different color options (just click the See Buying Options to see them).

Knights of Everflame Apparel Paizo and Pathfinder Apparel Starfinder Apparel

Of course, we also have a number of designs still available on paizo.com, but once these are gone they’ll only live on in your wardrobes. Many are also on sale, so check out the Pathfinder and Starfinder designs here, too.

Rise of the PopSockets

PopSockets are collapsible grips and stands for your electronic devices, allowing you to hold your cellphone or tablet easier or even sit it on its side to watch a video. Check out the ones we have available for Paizo, Pathfinder and the Pathfinder Iconics and don’t miss the amazing Starfinder Iconics.

More to Come?

We plan to continue to offer new designs in the coming months, so feel free to let us know what you want to see more of in the comments below.

Though I must admit, I'm personally not a fan of giant corporate logos. I like wearing something a little more subtle..

This. So much this. I absolutely hate massive logos. I buy shirts that fans of a series will probably recognise, but everyone else will just think is a cool image.

In my opinion, those Iconic Character Ts are unwearable. Except the Fumbus monochrome, for whatever reason. That art has been allowed to stand on its own.

The Red Dragon T at least has the logo out of the way of the art. Why can't they all be like this? I'd prefer them without the logo at all, but at least the logo isn't obscuring the art on the Red Dragon design. A tiny subtle logo or the Pathfinder stylised P would be better again.

If you insist on having a massive unsubtle logo can you not put it on the back of the shirt?

I'm not a fan of these at all, but I would have bought four or five of them if they were better designed.

Edit: Now that I've looked closer the knights of the everflame stuff with the sword is half decent. Logo on the back out of the way. Is a vast improvement.

Does this mean no more OffWorld Designs shirts? I do not shop Amazon so it will make me sad if I can't continue to get shirts.

Plus the artwork placement on some of these is really...off looking.

Paizo is new to this program, but it isn't some sort of test platform; Amazon has been doing it for 4 years now.

The bottom line is that we'll offer whatever styles/sizes/items they offer as long as it makes sense to do so. If and when they expand the options to us, we expect to extend them to you. For now, though, what you see is what's available.

I appreciate you being up front about what is available. I will in turn be open as well. I have interest in purchasing clothing. I need 4x. If there is something you can do to express your community's needs (as it should be readily apparent many of us are large individuals) to Amazon, I am sure your company would be compensated significantly more than other communities might be able to offer.

Offworld still appears to have many(all?) of the older designs up for sale, along with a 2e logo t-shirt.

I'm not sure if your question is sincere, but to clarify, our designs work for all the sizes Amazon offers.

Amazon does not offer 4x and 5x sizes. Yes, we can and will ask them, but we have no control over the outcome. What we can do is use the Amazon Apparel store to know what designs and styles are popular. Not just though anecdotes on forums, but through actual sales. We might then work with a partner like Offworld Designs to have them produced in the larger sizes that our community needs. It is a longer timeline for those who need larger sizes, but the Amazon Apparel store is an excellent way for us to get the designs right, first. Does that make sense?

I’m 6’4” and 350 pounds. I want 4x size shirts and 5x hoodies.

You’ll forgive me my suspicions and pointed remarks; it wasn’t that long ago when you all chose ninja division against customer anecdotal feedback...

If we could get these designs and basic offerings though Other World, that would be excellent. I appreciate that they might not have the full range of apparel options and/or colors, but that would be OK (for me).

Awesome, great work!

I already ordered some, Amazon says they deliver on Monday to Austria.

Well, Amazon lied. My new shirts were delivered on Saturday, so I can already give you an update:

I ordered one "Year of the open road (dual)" in royal blue, 3XL and one "red dragon" in cranberry 3XL.

Both are 100% cotton, mashine wash low heat, the colors of the shirts are very much like the website shows (to my eye).

The print exhibits a vinegar smell out of the package, but there's a card with the shirts that says that's to be expected, due to the 'paint' used, and after the first wash (to get excessive color out of the cotton) it is gone.

As for the size: before the wash the 3XL is on the large size, I think.
I like to wear such shirts over longsleeves (Sheldon-style, though I did it before I actually noticed that in TBBT), so I usually like the shirts being a big larger, but for future purchases, I think 2XL will be big enough for me.
(for reference: 180cm, ~100kg / 5ft11, 220lbs., not really athletic)

Now that I think about that, it probably isn't that easy for you (and Amazon) to create those...

Have to agree with some others- the enormous logo covering all the art has kept my husband and I from purchasing Paizo apparel in the past, and will here as well. Putting the logo on the back or at least separating it from the art a little bit would be nice. I've always loved official Bioware apparel as an example of art style & quality.

Some more dynamic poses for the iconics or maybe abstract designs (Pharasman spirals) would be fun!

I'd prefer there be no logo on anything I wear, or at most a small subtle one, so these are a no go for me as well.

This is really cool! I'm glad you guys are doing this.

With respect to designs, my wife and I would both prefer more art that's designed for t-shirts... stuff like the iconics can stand alone in a book, but on a t-shirt it makes for some awkward shirt designs that we're not really into. (Unless it's in remembrance, you don't see a lot of shirts with a single depiction of a person on it, even if that person happens to be a fictional character. It's just a little odd.)

For an example of what works really well, the various Pathfinder ales are awesome. (The alcohol themes do rule them out for us, sadly.) If we could see more quirky stuff like that we'd be spending some money.

Could be stuff like travel shirts (visit the splendors of glorious Rahadoum!) or fun faux educational or team shirts (Arcanamirium Siege Club?) or whatever--there's a lot of tropes that would translate well!

Will these be sanctioned for boons as part of Pathfinder and Starfinder Society play?

At least with respect to the 2E PFS Guide, it just specifies

Player is wearing or carrying an accessory that promotes Pathfinder Society
or
Player is wearing clothing that promotes Pathfinder Society, such as a volunteer shirt, a shirt for a Pathfinder Lodge, or Pathfinder-themed cosplay
Neither of those requirements list specific clothing or accessory so the items from Amazon would qualify.
