Kingmaker 10th Anniversary Campaign Begins!

Just out of curiosity, are there any nods to the things Kingmaker GMs developed over the years to go with the game? Chapter 2 of the CRPG seemed to take a lot of inspiration from Dudemeister's Monster Kingdom.

Not intentionally, no. When I developed the project, I did reference our own boards here for player and GM feedback (as I did with the previous two hardcover compilations), so there might be some parallel development there, but that'd be in the coincidence department and not a "nod."

Double post, but I want to make sure I don't forget: I hope the 2e Backgrounds aren't straight ports over of the 1e campaign Traits. Almost all of them tie into the political tensions in Brevoy, something unlikely to have a ton of payoff in an AP set outside of it. They also run very human-focused.

Yes, very much aware of this fact as I've played/ran the AP before. I suspect the anniversary edition will be significantly different, especially the parts that have brand new quests in it.

There's still those sidebars, yeah, but they don't really go into much detail at all. A "canonical" Stolen Lands kingdom is unlikely to be something we'll do much with because the whole point of this Adventure Path is to let that area be developed by each individual group, and us coming in and paving over their nation's final results with our own feels gross to me; we've got PLENTY of other places to explore.

They're pretty similar, if I recall correctly. Kingmaker isn't the right campaign to go all-in on expanding supporting backgrounds for a huge range of ancestries, and it's also not something we (aka I) had the time to do during the project's already very ambitious to-do list.

No shipping, scenarios, or pdfs here, yet.

The email I received from paizo said I would receive today so hopefully it does!

I feel like that's pretty common with shipments from anywhere. I usually don't see the package on the USPS tracking site until the day after the seller sends me the email.

You're missing the point. I contacted them several times over several days via different methods. They never responded to me yet they responded to others. They never told me there was an issue with my order. They were open when I posted and they are still open.

Oh, and this is the day people were supposed to receive the PDF codes by, which I never got yet others have.

I haven’t seen a post from single person here, on gameontabletop, or reddit saying they got their PDFs. My order also showed invalid shipping until it updated just today with a tracking number, though it still shows as not having shipped yet. Unless they told you something was wrong with your order, which would have been in an email, it’s probably still in the queue.

I'm not furious but definitely little disappointed I didn't receive the PDFS today as the email sent out said I'd have them "by" August 31. I guess they could just be sent out at 11:59 and be here tommorow I guess.

I believe Paizo's customer support people are very understaffed at the moment. It sucks, and doesn't help you right now, but when they do get back to you, they will take care of you. Paizo has always been great about fixing mistakes on their end.

And if it makes you feel any better, it looks like no one else got their pdfs today either so you aren't missing out on anything yet anyway

This is NOT an isolated incident with them. I have had issues with orders in the past and it took them OVER A MONTH each time to resolve.

And yes, some people have gotten their pdfs.

I just got my email about redeeming the PDFs! I can’t wait to download them when I get home.

It’s still technically August 31.

Products have begun shipping to backers, and we are now granting the PDFs for Pathfinder Kingmaker Adventure Path products. While only a few of the products included free PDFs as a reward, we are granting backers a complete set of PDFs as a thank you for their patience.

Our CS team has been striving to catch up and response times are much improved. Again, thank you.

Just got the email for the PDF's and they include EVERYTHING! Was not expecting pdf's for the Pawns and extra Bestiary's

There is no over-reacting when this happens several times. Yes, I have every right to be angry. They responded to others' issues and questions but did not respond to mine, both before and after I posted my issue. They told others of issues with their orders but said nothing to me.
