Anyone who's a specialist in anything in real life will probably have to swallow their disbelief frequently when that particular thing arises in pop culture. I'm a law nerd, so I often cringe whenever I see the depiction of lawyers and trials on TV dramas. Doctor nerds surely do the same with the trope that a single punch instantly knocks out any unaware mook with no long term consequences. As a gun/military nerd, you'll just have to get use to things like "a lack of trigger discipline" in pop culture (including RPG) portrayal of soldiers or drive yourself insane trying to fight the good fight :)
"Why is my archer walking around with their bow stringed 100% of the time?!"

That should be "strung".

See, now you guys are learning of the pain of the grammar nazi. ;)

Thanks, it looks really awesome when activated. I like that there are new types of melee weapons.

Edit: Anyone know what a "swamp lion" is?
That's a doshko.
As for a swamp lion, it sounds like something you probably don't want to encounter in a swamp.
This needs to be a recurring theme in the various adventure paths and modules.
Swamp lions in the pantry
Swamp lions on the space plane
Swamp lions in the bathroom
You really don't want to encounter them anywhere, but you always do.

So, Swamp lions are the Bunyips of Starfinder? Makes sense.
(For those unaware, Bunyips have this reputation in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game)

I assumed it was the Freeza method of renamed conquered planets myself.

So since we're getting soldier this week, what do you guys think next week will be? I'm hoping for Solarion, as it's the only class we know nothing about, but I'm worried they'll wait till last for that one. Maybe mechanic?
Ooh, I hope so. The mechanic might well be my favorite option, and the Ysoki sounds fun.

While I want Solarion, I'd bet on Mechanic or Technomancer.

I've been crossing my fingers for technomancer this whole time.

I feel like every time something goes wrong her party ironically says, "Thanks, Obozaya!"
And she always replies, "YOU'RE WELCOME!" Like, always. In that same oddly cheery demeanor, so you're not sure if she's being sincere or just screwing with you.

I like the idea that she leaves it unclear to everyone else.
The truth is, she *understands* sarcasm, but she's just not having it.

I'll be honest, after reading her bio, I've already found the woman I'm modeling her after HINT: It's Dina from Superstore.

"Good afternoon, I'm from PestCorp. I apologize for the inconvenience, but you'll have to take your husbands and larvae out of the home for a few days - landlord says we need to spray for swamp lions."
"Yeeaah, looks like a real bad infestation. Prolly laid eggs in yer baseboard, you can tell by all the eviscerated pets packed in along side it. I checked yer ventilation ducts and one nipped off my arm. If'n you'll hand me that plasma arc, I need to crawl in there and get it back afore I set off the swamp lion gas. Should be down before lunch but the gas has a half-life of twenty years so it'll be a bit afore you can move back in."

This may be my favorite iconic, though it could be partly because of Slothsy's playlist <3
After reading this, I'm going to set aside some time to reformat, print and laminate each of these Blogs to include with the Pregens when I GM Starfinder.
This sort of background information needs to be widely distributed ^^.
