Introducing Six New Agents!

There are just a few more iconic characters left to bring into Pathfinder Society. Alain has held up the process by demanding we make his character sheet *perfect*.

Over the past several weeks, the design team and other authors have been introducing us to the new Pathfinder RPG Occult Adventures iconic characters and sharing some of the changes incorporated since the playtest in late 2014. Subscribers have already begun receiving PDF copies of the new book, which we'll have added to the Additional Resources in time for Gen Con 2015 in just over a week.

Much as we did with the Advanced Class Guide for Gen Con last year, we have also prepared 1st-, 4th-, and 7th-level pregenerated characters for use in the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign for Occult Adventures. These include all of the necessary rules needed to play the character, down to the abridged spell descriptions and class ability explanations. One of the unique challenges in designing these characters was the sheer versatility of them—especially in the case of the occultist, whose base statistics can change depending on how he allocates his mental focus. As a result, we presented those characters with a recommended distribution of points, and we're sure that a player who wants to shuffle those around can add to and subtract from a few modifiers if necessary.

Download them, and use them in your next game!

Not by much, the average height of a European man in the medieval age was 5'8" and the average height of a European man today is 5'10".
Diet can influence it alot. The Germanic barbarian tribes for instance, towered over the Romans because they were on the Atkins diet, and the Roman soldiers were grain-fed. We also have a lot of Colonial era houses in this neck of the country and visting them you'll notice that the ceilings are all rather low, even in the higher class houses like Dey Mansion in Wayne, NJ.
All you non-Dutch people are hilariously short ;)
All you Dutch people are hilariously large :) If course I am about 5,8 sooooo
I'm 5'9", wich is the average female dutch hight :P

Notation: Next version of Pathfinder filles for Herolab to include an "Is Dutch" checkmark.

I am sorry, we mess up the average height table :(

I just decided to print a new set of pregens for tomorrow, but with the watermark situation, I guess my old black and white set will have to suffice.

Soooo, these pregens have scooped me/the PDT in more ways than one (I also wrote both kineticist blogs for this week, for instance; for maximum fun from the Wednesday blog, I highly recommend not reading the Yoon pregen's backstory on the character sheet until you can hear it "from Yoon" in the blog). The pregens also scooped the ACG errata. I can confirm that Erasmus is not in error as of printing 2 of the ACG.

I somehow only just now realized that Erasmus is still in error... A Starknife is a piercing weapon. >__>

Assume until further clarification that Slashing Grace can be used with all light weapons.

I will, and it will be awesome.

Erasmus appears to be getting Dex to damage with his starknife at level 1 at both melee and ranged. How is this possible?
He's not; the Champion happens to give him an exact combination of bonuses that appear to be that.
Wait, did Slashing Grace get an unseen errata that allows it to affect light weapons at some point?
Soooo, these pregens have scooped me/the PDT in more ways than one (I also wrote both kineticist blogs for this week, for instance; for maximum fun from the Wednesday blog, I highly recommend not reading the Yoon pregen's backstory on the character sheet until you can hear it "from Yoon" in the blog). The pregens also scooped the ACG errata. I can confirm that Erasmus is not in error as of printing 2 of the ACG.

Now that the ACG errata are out, I just want to clarify this . The wording for Slashing Grace now is "Choose one kind of light or one-handed slashing weapon..." This can be read two different ways.

1.) Choose a light slashing weapon or choose a one-handed slashing weapon.

2.) Choose any light weapon or choose a one-handed slashing weapon.

Right now, the comments on the message boards seem in favor of the first interpretation, which would make me sad. But if, as you say, Erasmus is in compliance with the second printing of the ACG, then Starknives. which are light but not slashing, qualify for Slashing Grace. That would mean that interpretation (2) is correct, and I can use Slashing Grace with a Shortsword or a Light Mace. This would make me very happy.

So can you clarify whether your confirmation above should be considered an official statement?

Apparently Slashing Grace doesn't work with all light weapons, and Erasmus' sheets are in error after all. :(

Thanks for the info.

I noticed that the pregen zip file was updated yesterday. Is this related to the ACG errata changes? thanks.

No, it is only the removal of the watermark.

The Pregen Medium's sheet needs to be updated to match the AR:

In the spirit section:

Quote:
If the spirit ever gains 5 or more influence, it takes over Erasmus, who becomes an NPC under the GM’s control until the next day, when he awakens with the spirit gone.

Should now read:

Quote:
A medium may not perform actions that would allow a spirit to attain 5 or more points of influence over him.

So we ever going to see the APG characters in this format? Mister Iconic Magus?

Rest assured, these are in the offing! :)

Do we have any vague date on the APG classes? I have a plan regarding the quests and random iconics, and, if the APG iconics are close, I will wait...if they are still a while away, I will organise it sooner rather than later.

Now, about those APG Pregens again...

I'm trying to make sense of Yoon's skills.

Skill Modifiers Acrobatics +10, Bluff +0 (+1 to fool someone), Diplomacy +8, Intimidate +4, Knowledge (nature) +5, Linguistics +2, Perception +8, Stealth +12, Use Magic Device +7

Skill Ranks (24) Acrobatics 4, Diplomacy 4, Intimidate 1, Knowledge (nature) 1, Linguistics 1, Perception 4, Stealth 2, Use Magic Device 4; Favored Class (kineticist) +4 hp

Wouldn't this mean she is 3 ranks short?

I'm thinking maybe Intimidate should have four ranks, giving her a +7 modifier before size mods. (Why is it listed at +3?)
