Golarion Day: Ninja and Oni and Sinspawn!

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Seems like it was only yesterday that I was in panic mode about getting ready for PaizoCon 2010, and here I am again, only a few days away PaizoCon 2011. We'll be making a lot of announcements about some pretty exciting developments to come for Golarion at PaizoCon, including what the Adventure Path after Jade Regent is going to be all about. We'll also be revealing the cover art for the first few Jade Regent adventures, as well as who's painting them, at Paizo Con, but if you can't make it to the convention, never fear! Those covers will be all over paizo.com next week if all goes according to plan. In the meantime... here are two particularly awesome images from the inside of Pathfinder #49 to whet the appetite.

AHH PAIZO CON !

You few, you oh so happy few, you band of brothers;
For they that roll dice at play
Shall forever more be brothers; be they ne'er so vile,
These days shall gentle their condition;
And gentlemen Elsewhere now-a-bed
Shall think themselves fools accurs'd they were not at PaizoCon,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That rolled dice with you upon Paizo's day!

Awesome!

That is incredibly beautiful art.

I can tell that the art budget has been beefed up in recent months. It is just so amazing!

Art budget hasn't changed at all for Pathfinder APs for a while, actually. The artists change all the time though.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

The new artist looks good.

Got to say, VERY impressive!

I hope Sung Yoon Ko will stick around for a long time then. That picture of monk-i-goodness by itself ought to be enough to convert a few more players to monk-fans! :)

Sczarni

Well there's something you don't see everyday. Monks versus Sinspawns.

Please, please, PLEASE tell me this means Paizo will finally produce some Japanese-themed maps and tile sets? I would kill for a decent map of a teahouse.

Well played. These are exactly the sorts of things I'm looking for. Now if I can just get something with shoji screens, tatami mats, and possibly a koi pond, I will be thrilled beyond measure. :)

Because high resolution art is essentially giving away stuff for free, and that's something that, while we don't mind doing now and then, we don't want to do all the time.

And because the difference in file size is significant.
