Golarion Day — SPOILER: There Are Vampires in Ustalav

Thursday, January 27, 2010

So, we're back in busy mode this week, which means that I don't have a big pile of words to share with you today. But part of what made this week busy was shipping the upcoming Rule of Fear off to the printer. Which has a cover. And the art on that cover is pretty cool, wouldn't you say?

You think this is bad for you? Just wait until Jacobs gets his fill of Wes' curse.
Trust me. I've already been hit by the curse. Twice. And that's part of what's making Wes nervous.

You missed the musical reference above. My setup was full of fail. :(

Was the curse really worse than Wes turning into the Phantom and transforming your work environment into your most hated genre? What would that be like, say, on day one hundred?

James has a problem with pulpy 1930s comic-book heroes in (silly) costumes? Guess we'll have to sic some Singh-pirates on him.

Were it a pulp reference alone, I probably would have gotten it. Once you include stuff from musicals, though, I'm outa here.

Calling my bluff, eh?

I was just trying to show JJ how the curse could be much, much worse.
But if there's a curse on Carrion Crown, I think it will only be a curse that will make life 'interesting' for them, but not screw up the AP itself. Because I'm too excited about this AP for the curse to go that way. The Dao will not allow it.

Hey, maybe they will be Sing-pirates, instead? ;-P

*shudders*

Actually, they did turn The Phantom (the comic-book character, not the guy in the Andrew Antichrist Superstar musical) into a musical back in the 80s (in Stockholm, before superhero movies became a common genre, the Phantom was much bigger in Sweden than any other costumed here except maybe Superman). I think it ran for 3 shows before it got cancelled due to being so bad no-one wanted to see it.
