Beheld !
Sea Serpents!
Linnorms !
Always two, there are.
Summer lovin.
Wow, that's an amazing cover! If only Paizo would provide prints of Reynolds's cover artwork.
Wayne's booth was conveniently next to Paizo's at Gencon ...
Lilith got a special something from a certain Creative Director and I got my favorite iconic for myself.

Too bad I don't have $1,000-2,000 for a plane ticket across the Pond then. :D
What I would love to see is a print-on-demand sort of thing where we can purchase prints of some of the covers, for instance Wayne Reynolds's covers for the Pathfinder RPG line.
I don't know if that's doable and what it would take but a guy can dream.

Silly alchemist. Didn't anyone tell him you don't bring a knife to a gu... ahem, I mean two-headed linnorm fight.
Silly Shinmizu for thinking that the knife was his weapon. The knife is the poison-coated "ooh, shiny" distraction. The real weapon is the bottle in the other hand. Now, if only the alchemist would attend those AA meetings, he would realize that you shouldn't fight while drunk, unless you are a practitioner of Drunken Fist.
My alchemist is gonna be a drunken fist fighting alchemist that also serves as the party cook, goes by the name, "Cookie", and speaks with an eccentric western drawl. He is aces with franks and beans. Just don't tell him to cook anything different.
Awesome cover as expected from Wayne.
I love the one he did on commission for me that is hanging in my home.

Well....I was only going to buy one copy of this but if the rest of the artwork in the book is as good as the cover....
I guess I'll buy two...
(I have two hard copies of the Core Rulebook...the well-worn banged up copy that I use at games and a copy I bought at GenCon and had signed by the Paizo crew. That one stays home. :) )

Oddly enough, and I think I'm way in the minority... I actually don't like the cover that much. It's too white. Maybe once I see it in person I'll like it more.
What's wrong with white? (Other than the hair. Aww-aww!)
I think it looks misty and mysterious, the kind of place a tarn linnorm would be lurking.

New PF book?
DROOL.
Well new is relative, they have been talking about now for almost 6 months. But yes it will be a new book come august. :) Kinda likea players handbook 2 sorta or a unearthed arcane, or more than likely those combined and dipped in awesome sauce.

I really like this cover! It's got all the classic elements, and is thematically similar to the Core Rulebook cover (with a male and female iconic battling a dragon-type creature), but I think I'm most pleased with its lack of clutter. The GMG cover especially has a lot going on, and for whatever reason whenever I look at it spuriously, I see a Christmas tree which I then realize is just Karzoug's green robe. I think this might be my favorite WAR cover to date, honestly.
So when do we get names and backstories for the new iconics? With GenCon at the beginning of August, seems like 2 a month for May, June, and July would lead up to the launch nicely.

Sometime between now and August.
Right now, Paizo is more or less on a skeleton crew. Seems like half of everyone or more is on vacation or sick or just plain recovering from shipping a couple dozen products to the printer in the space of only two months.
I do suspect that when we start doing them, we won't follow anything like a set schedule. We might do 1 a week, and we might just do all six in a row.

Indeed. I'm particularly fond of Dungeon 143 but have all but given up hope of ever finding a high res image of the art let alone a print!!
As far as the Pathfinder art goes, a lot of it can just be pulled out of the PDFs, so I'm happy with that. :)
