With most of the Paizo editorial staff being transplants from across the country, the holidays tend to be the one time of the year where we put aside talk of goblins and statblocks and deadlines for a few days (or at least try to). With much of the crew making treks across the country to spend a few days with much neglected family members, things might get a little spotty here on the blog up through the New Year. Even with the dedicated folks staying behind to man the walls, the holiday fever can get a little distracting, so to tide things over till January 4th, here's Eva Widermann's fantastic artwork for our 2009 holiday card. But that's it from us for 2009, everybody! Thanks to everyone for an incredible year, and do me a favor and yell at James Jacobs if you see him on the boards over the course of the next week. Happy holidays from all of us here at Paizo and we'll see you in 2010!
A truly beautiful piece of art! It makes even a grumpy Chelaxian dwarf momentarily wish he had been nice for the past year... however, when I think about the perks of being an Evil-aligned servant of the mightiest empire that has ever existed on Golarion, such a moment of weakness quickly passes! ;)
Well, enough of that; let me raise a bold dwarven cheer and a glass of expensive Chelaxian wine to the good folks at Paizo -- a big and hearty THANK YOU to all of you for giving us so many quality products so far, and making playing and running D&D so damn fun again! Ever since I joined these boards, I've felt more excited than I've been in... heck, since I picked up my first D&D books and dice over two decades ago! And the best thing is that year 2010 looks to be just as promising and exciting, for I just can't wait to lay my grubby hands on GMG, APG and Bestiary II (and a bunch of other Paizo books, naturally)!
Sean, Vic, Lisa, Sara Marie, Cosmo, James, Wes, Jason, Erik... er, well, EVERYONE at Paizo, and my fellow posters on the Paizo boards -- I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the past year, and may all of you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! :)

Eva does some of the best work I've seen in Pathfinder.
Yeap. Maybe we'll see more of her in the New Year.

I hope we see more of Seoni next year too, especially if they do more of the bathhouse pictures... Oh wait, you meant Eva's art work. Yes, that would be nice too. ;-)

I see she is utilizing her new gift: an entangling whip of colored lights
I have loved almost all of Eva Wiedermann's art that I've seen, with the few exceptions of some of the monsters that WOTC had her illustrate that, honestly, I don't think gave her much to work with.
While I love pretty monster pictures, I think I'd rather see her working on AP art than the Bestiary, since her human/human-like characters are just fascinating to stare at (not that I don't like her monsters, mind you).

Yeah, I'd love to see her get a full series of AP covers. They haven't yet announced who's doing the covers for Kingmaker... Crosses fingers

I'd like to suggest an Art of Pathfinder hardcover.
