Pathfinder Chronicles: Kingmaker Poster Map Folio

The Kingmaker Poster Map Folio shows your kingdom in all its sweeping glory!

In the early stages of discussing the Kingmaker Adventure Path, we devised a plan for a set of poster maps that would combine to form a massive wall-sized map of the area the PCs will explore throughout the course of their campaign. The combined map sprawls nearly 66 inches wide and 22 inches high! From the mountains... to the prairies... to the forest full of owlbears, this untamed land is there for the PCs' taking—if they survive that long!

Raise and rule an entire kingdom! From early explorations and cartographic cataloguing of the region to forays into the deadliest depths of an ancient wilderness, the Kingmaker Poster Map Folio provides the maps for an entire epic campaign. Within the Kingmaker Poster Map Folio, you’ll find six huge, 4-panel poster maps crucial to the Kingmaker Adventure Path: the mysterious village of Varnhold, the oppressed city of Pitax, and four linked maps that present the infamous Stolen Lands in their entirety. Even if you aren’t running the Kingmaker Adventure Path, the maps inside can serve any campaign as new wilderness regions, villages, or cities for any RPG campaign. Your new kingdom awaits within!

pleez pleez PLEEZ! say this comes with the adventure path subscription and will magically show up at my door.

Love the Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference. :)

Liberty's Edge

The Judges Guild Wilderlands of High Fantasy vibe that the Kingmaker Map Folio is now channeling is right on target, imo.

I approve of this approach to AP Map Folios. Too often, the maps included seem to nbe maps that the owners of the module series already own. This time - the product delivers real value. I'm damned interested in this product :)

Unfortunately, the Map Folio sets are always part of the Chronicles line, so you would need a subscription to that line to get it without buying it separately.

I actually laid the map out on the floor of my office and then measured them with a tape measure. It is huge. And I am not sure how I am going to be able to put it all up on my wall. But I am going to try. :)

I thought Poster maps were 17" x22" these Maps seem to be 39"x56.

Great tape measure! Does it go up to colossal?

Paizo Employee CEO

Somebody pointed out in the thread about the product that I was measuring in CENTIMETERS, not INCHES. Sigh. You would think that somebody as high ranking as CEO could do something as simple as read a tape measure. So those numbers should be in CENTIMETERS, which makes the map quite a bit smaller. Sorry for getting everybody's hopes up. Now to get myself some remedial classes to improve my ability to measure things. :)

Yea what is wrong with the rest of the world why would they want to use a base 10 system of measurement that makes no sense. ;)

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

I've corrected the dimensions in the blog.

I have never bought a Map Folio before... do the maps have the hexes printed on them or not?

Yes the maps have the hexes printed on them..they do not however have the adventure locations from the AP printed on them a decision I am glad Paizo went with as you can just stick the map down on the table and ask the players where they are going.

That does, however, take away the "fog of war", i.e. the party not knowing how the map looks in places they haven't explored yet.

Be aware that this product doesn't include encounter area maps. As a map folio for an adventure, I expected it to have the maps from the adventure. I bought it as a PDF so that I could use the maps provided in the books. Instead, this is just an overview map of the entire area. Granted, it's a big and beautiful (and very useful) map. But if you want a maps of the encounter areas, this isn't what you're looking for.
