Speaking also to the wonderful BIPOC representation to the setting, I have always love love LOVED how richly detailed Garund and the Mwangi are. Lost Omens: Mwangi Expanse remains my favorite in the LO series (the Mwangi depiction of Desna is my favorite of anything I've seen of her, such GORGEOUS artwork) and I've always loved the regions and the characters tied to them like Old Mage Jatambe and the Ten Magic Warriors, the Ekujae elves, the Matanji orcs, Nantambu and the Magaambya, the Bonuwat, and SOOOO much else.

I really really wanna play Strength of Thousands at some point, too! I've been itching to try it out with a Ghoran Kineticist who's applied to the Magaambya to try and see if their blending of Arcane and Primal magic might unlock the means for the Ghorans to finally start making new seeds.

(Tangent: I like the idea of Ghorans being kinda like the Trill in Star Trek where they have their given name and then their "seed" name)

Cognates

It's always good to hear from people around Paizo :)

(Also, Avalon is wonderful, what a well-dressed dog!)

Scarab Sages

Where is the artwork of Old Mage Jatemebe fighting the monster from?

It's from LO: The Mwangi Expanse, runs across pages 6-7.

It's probably based on the Age of Destiny? Old-Mage Jatembe’s Magic Warriors fighting the cults of Rovagug.

Thank you, thank you! Representation even in a fantasy world is really important to us, and we put a lot of effort and love into fleshing out these worlds to do them justice both just to play and also for the people.

(Also, I agree with your tangent)

Isn't she just the greatest?? She does such a good job with her service tasks too! She actually has a wonderful and well equipped wardrobe, outside of my Paizo shirt of course.

Yup, this is correct! Fantastic piece, right?

It's so good!

And a peril of reading most Paizo books in pdf form: I sometimes miss the 2-page spreads in their full glory. But not this one!

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Society Subscriber

It was nice to hear from Shan again. He's written some really excellent scenarios. Always look forward to seeing their name in the credits.

Thank you! And noted on this as well! I'm not sure it's something we can fix, but it's still good feedback to have!

Oh definitely not something that can, or should, be fixed! Just me lamenting one of the downsides of pdf vs print. You can set pdf readers to show full spread and then it works great, anyway. Or at least it does on desktop/laptop, on phone the text gets way too small (also not something that needs fixing, just a consequence of the medium).

Anyway, loving the blog post and your work in general at Paizo. Keep it up!
