I watched this miniseries over the weekend, after seeing it on my scroll through of Netflix and having it recommended by a coworker.
It's a western miniseries (just six episodes) set in 1857 during the Utah War. It's centered around the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The overarching story is a conflict between the Mormons, Native Americans, the U.S. Government, and other non-Mormon settlers and scoundrels. There are a few more focused, personal stories woven in. The primary of the being a hunter/trapper type guiding a woman and her son to where the boy's father is living.
Overall, it was a solid, but brutal, story. They had a solid cast. Mostly the kind of character actors you recognize but might have to look up to name. Taylor Kitsch is the lead.
Now to be honest, with the series name I was expecting something with maybe a bit more supernatural bent. I didn't get that at all but still was not disappointed.
