Why aren't these great Pathfinder Kingmaker characters in 2e?

How come these awesome characters with Pathfinder Kingmaker are no longer used? These were by the far the best ever characters.

- The male (Default?) Fighter, not sure if he was the default choice for a fighter but I always chose him, he looks like the best prototypical fighter you can ever have.

- Jaethal, Jaethal was just such an amazing character, from personailty to strentght, to everything.

- Valerie, awesome tank and tower shield specialist.

- Amiri also looked much better in game..

What a shame these 3-4 aren't in 2e.......instead we get all these lil pink gnomes running around.

I don't remember the particulars because it's been a while, but when the 2e conversion was crowdfunded, they had the various NPCs as stretch goals to get expanded treatments; not all of the NPCs were reached before the end of the campaign.

Huh? Jaethal, Valerie, and Amiri are all in PF2, along with Ekundayo, Jubilost, Linzi, Nok-Nok, Tristian, Harrim, Octavia, Regongar, Kalikke, and Kanerah.

Amiri hasn't gone anywhere.

Why do my posts keep vanishing?

The reason we only use Amiri in our art and not any of the other Kingmaker companions in anything BUT Kingmaker is because those characters are from Owlcat's game based on our adventure, Kingmaker. They're not our own character designs, so we don't use them.

You seem fairly new here, so I'll answer in good faith.

I've seen a couple of your posts before they vanished. The first you used a slur along with a bunch of right-wing culture war talking points. The second contained either a joke or a complaint about the comments Jason Bulmahn made back in August along with what looked like some thinly veiled discriminatory comments about marginalized groups. It is very likely they got flagged and removed by moderators.

Paizo takes pains to try and maintain something approaching a civil atmosphere on this site (admittedly with varying degrees of success) and largely discourages discussing real world politics as that can get pretty venomous pretty quickly. Overall the stated stances and corporate values tend towards a more progressive or left wing alignment. I rarely trust corporations when they make statements of values like this but based on their hiring practices, the number of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ characters in their products, and the blog posts highlighting employees with a variety of identities and backgrounds they seem to be sticking to it.

There's always a nicer and/or more diplomatic way to say things, and that type of conversation is what we encourage on these boards, since that type of conversation is productive and helpful. Insults, attempts to bait answers, and other inappropriate comments generally get removed because they're not helpful and, in fact, are destructive.

The internet (and the world) already has more than its share of toxicity and awful. Let's all work together to try to keep that at bay when we're talking about the types of games we all love—be they Pathfinder, video games based on Pathfinder, or ANY games.

Thanks, and love to you all!
