Remastered: The Resentment Patron

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Has anyone compiled a list of all the spells/effects in the game can be prolonged by the Resentment? I don't just mean conditions but what spells apply conditions which can be prolonged.

I doubt anyone had the time to do something like this. The big ones will obviously be Slow and Synesthesia on success as well as Blindness.

Befuddle would also be a very potent effect if you can extend it past 1 round.

You only need one spell and its name is synesthesia.

Joking aside, and ignoring incapacitation spells because they don't matter, a quick nethys search gives me:
Ignite fireworks (success, dazzled)
Earthbind (failure, ban flight)
Agitate (success, punish not moving)
Crushing despair (success, ban reaction, weird interaction may mean recurring saves to avoid being slowed)
Freezing rain (failure, slowed 1)
Mad monkeys (failure, varies)
Invoke spirits (failure, fleeing)
Tortoise and the hare (success, slowed 1)
Flourishing flora (crit fail, various)

I'll post more when I have time.

Tempest Surge is a big one. Storm Druids and Resentment Witches will go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Not sure it works on half of those. Stuff like Agitate is a specific spell effect, but not a "Condition". I think you can only extend the duration of actual conditions like enfeebled, slowed or paralyzed with the resentment familiar.

It seems to be worded as it only works on Conditions.

I'm not quite sure why, but I got it into my head that conditions were any negative effect. Probably mixing up game systems. Thanks for catching me on that.

Let's look at some useful sources of conditions with explicit durations then.

Phantasmal doorknob (item 6/10, dazzle/blind)
Debilitating shot (fighter 10, slowed 1)

Wall of flesh, Transmute rock and mud (grabbed/restrained). These say they last 1 round or escape, whichever comes first. Questionable if resentment will extend that 1 round. Immobilize spells like Vampiric maiden or Tangling creepers fall into this as well.

prismatic wall (dazzle/blind)
Confusion (Confusion)
Ignite fireworks (low level dazzle)
Deafness (defended)
Invoke spirits (fleeing)
Synesthesia (clumsy 3)
Slow (slowed 1)
Chroma leech (enfeeble 2)
Spiritual epidemic (enfeeble+stupified 2)
Burning blossoms (fascinated)

Paralyzed (incap, paralysis)

Ultimately, you're probably just going to end up spamming slow and synesthesia because that's how the game works, but you do get to extend all conditions at once so you can really make some poor boss have a bad time with some help from your local fighter.
