How to get the "See in Darkness" monster ability for a PC?

Advice

I have a fetchling Summoner (Shadow Caller) PC with a Shadow eidolon. The eidolon can cast Darkness 3x/day. This is great because both the fetchling and the shadow eidolon get additional miss chances in lower light levels and both have Darkvision. However, at 12th level this gets changed:

At 12th level, shadow eidolons lose the ability to cast darkness as a spell-like ability and instead gain the ability to cast deeper darkness as a spell-like ability three times per day. In addition, they gain the see in darkness universal monster ability.

While that is great for the eidolon, now the summoner (and the rest of the party with Darkvision) can no longer see. How can I get "see in darkness" monster ability for (at least) my fetchling PC and maybe also for the rest of the party without negating the deeper darkness? If there is nothing, this is actually a step backwards for party functionality.

Be relevant to Nocticula.

fethcings actually have specific feats for that, see:

gloomsight > Dark sight (this should be enough but you can then go with) > improved dark sight

I was unaware of Dark sight feat, thanks! However, spending two feats just to use the same trick we did for levels 1-11 is pricey.

well you can craft(graft?)\buy items that grant see in darkness if you can afford to do so:

nightskin

Rod of shadows

greter shadow eye piercing

and eyes of embersight (up to 9 min a day)

the powers of demons and such don't come cheap!

another option is to have the echolocation spell cast on you.

last thing as far as i can remember true seeing (or true sight ,whatever it's called) grant the ability to see in darkness of any kind.

in fact the higher the level you are the more enemies you will meet who will ether be able to see in darkness or have true sight anyway.

which is why my go to is fogs and such. not a lot of creatures have blindsight or stuff that specifically see in fog\clouds etc. and the combination of saltspray ring and goz mask (or the ashen path spell) is cheap.

Those are all great ideas. Looks like Eyes of Embersight (for 16k) are the cheapest way to go and shouldn't be too prohibitive at 12th level. Just seems odd Paizo didn't think of this when replacing the shadow eidolon's Darkness with Deeper Darkness. At least if I got the ability to choose one or the other, I could use it without some other item/feat. Thanks!

they did the same to the drow nobility feat chain. going from darkness to deeper darkness without anyway to see in your own darkness was kinda nerfy
