A good way to increase a dwarf's speed to 30 or higher?

Advice

As above, I'd love to get my dwarf fighter's speed to 30. What are the best ways to do it?

What class? You are against taking a cleric level?

The first level of the Travel domain gives great powers:

Quote:

Granted Powers: You are an explorer and find enlightenment in the simple joy of travel, be it by foot or conveyance or magic. Increase your base speed by 10 feet.

Agile Feet (Su): As a free action, you can gain increased mobility for 1 round. For the next round, you ignore all difficult terrain and do not take any penalties for moving through it. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

As it is a granted power and it isn't an enhancement effect you can fully benefit from haste and other powers that enhance speed.

As I said, fighter. I'm not against taking a level in something else, but just one level at most.

Thanks to both, the Boots are a great idea and the Cleric domain I wouldn't have thought of.

Now I've just go figure out a way to give myself proficiency in butchering axe without using a feat...

Cracked Opalescent White Pyramid Ioun Stone

Nice! I might do a separate post asking if any can improve the dwarf build I want to do.

note that the cracked stone only give the feat with it's 'Resonance' which is an aura kind of effect when placed into a wayfinder or other such things.
and cracked\flawed ioun stone only have 25% to have said Resonance.(a normal one has 75% to have it)

JDawg is just looking for proficiency, not Weapon Focus.

The cracked stone by itself makes the keyed weapon (Butchering Axe, in his case) count as a martial weapon. And fighters are proficient with all martial weapons.

oh i know. it's why i wrote to 'note', i was just making sure he knows the weapon focus is not auto granted as well.

If you aren't in heavy armor, a one level dip into Barbarian, Bloodrager, or Exciter Spiritualist will get you the Fast Movement class feature:

Fast Movement (Ex): A barbarian's land speed is faster than the norm for her race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when she is wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load. Apply this bonus before modifying the barbarian's speed because of any load carried or armor worn. This bonus stacks with any other bonuses to the barbarian's land speed.

Buy a light war horse; even cheaper take a rank in Handle Animal and by a Large sized horse to train yourself during Downtime. For a free mount, 1 level dip into Cavalier.

1 level dip into wizard; retain the Scribe Scroll bonus feat and take a Bonded Object. Every day you're not casting spells, take 2 hours (even when adventuring) and scribe scrolls if your GM allows it. Only ever take Expeditious Retreat on any given day.

1 level dip into Inquisitor for the Persistence Inquisition. Receive Step Up as a bonus feat and Swift Action to add +10' to your land speed 3 +Wis Mod/day.

1 level dip into Oracle for the Metal Mystery. This gives you access to Dance of Blades which adds +10' to your Base Speed so long as you're wielding a metal weapon.

Take a lot of ranks in Acrobatics and get comfortable with jumping a lot.

You can buy/craft a +1 butchering axe with the Training enchantment. It grants one combat feat to the wielder, and Exotic Weapon Proficiency is a combat feat.

Am I missing some context?

Does "maximum movement" factor in medium and heavy armor reducing your speed? I figured, if the Fighter level hadn't gotten high enough yet to ignore such armor penalties a PC with high enough acrobatics and a base 20 move could jump up to 40' in a round. Maybe I have the ruling wrong though.

Oh, another thing the PC could do would be, with the 1 level dip into wizard, take the magic trick feats around floating disk, buy scrolls of it with a high enough CL to carry his own weight, then fly around on said disk.

Sure, a character in medium armor could use up both their move actions to jump 40 feet, or they could use those same two move actions to jog the same distance.

always travel downhill... ;^)

Get a heavy war pony or mount
