Gives major Morpheus vibes. I wish we could just send all of these characters back to Marvel. Or that Sony could get itself a Spiderman. We've established the Multiverse. Let's just have Tom Holland as Marvel's Spiderman and get a different one for Sony.

Kraven and Morbius are bottom-of-the-barrel spider-man villains. Why aren't they using Prowler, Black Cat, Doc Ock, or any of the interesting villains?

I think this is how Sony keeps the film rights, by churning out movies (no matter how craptastic). I don’t currently see them giving that up anytime soon.

It’s a shame, because making a bad Kraven-as-antihero movie lessens the chance of seeing a Kraven’s Last Hunt movie. A great Spider-Man story.

I admit to having a confused look on my face when you mentioned Prowler as an interesting villain, but I haven't really read current Spider-Man comics in over a decade. So maybe they did something interesting with him since then?

But to answer your question, I think it's because they are saving the A-lister villains for the actual Spider-Man movies.

Kraven is a classic Spider Man villain, and when I say classic I mean from the 60's to maybe the 90's. I don't think he's been real relevant lately. That being said, if Morbius gave us Morbin' Time, Kraven is about to give us the Ravin' Kraven. In other words, I'll wait to see it at home.

I REALLY wish Marvel could get the right for Spiderman back from Sony. I have not liked anything Sony has done with Spiderman in a decade or so.

The Spiderman movies with Tom Holland, as well as the other Marvel movies Spiderman has been in were all fantastic.

Any of Sony’s attempts to churn out Spiderman adjacent movies have been so-so at best, and garbage at worst.
