How would you calculate the weight for a synthesist?

Would the eidolon weigh a negligible amount or would an eidolon have a standard weight for its size and increase the synthesist's weight by a large margin?

Barring special abilities, an eidolon should weigh as much as any other creature of its size and shape.

When fused, eidolon and Summoner should weigh as their combined weight, but it is no encumbrance, so it will not affect the Syntethetist movement (RAW, an overweight, short human move as rapidly and can carry as much weight as a tall, skinny one).

So a Synthesist would weigh significantly more than other classes then? It came up where another character was wanting to carry a Synthesist while they were in their eidolon and there was some debate about whether the weight would be the synthesist's normal weight or too heavy for what was intended.

IMO the eidolon is not a full sized character and would not weigh as much as one. It is described as "translucent, living armor", so perhaps the weight of armor. I would probably say between 40-80lbs for a med sized summoner.

The synthesis does not gain any benefit of being a larger size so should not take any penalties. The size of the eidolon has to be at least the same size as the summoner. Metal armor weighs more because it is made of metal so using that as a basis is not a good idea. Silken ceremonial armor and spider silk body suit both weight about 4 pounds. Most clothing weighs about 5 pounds or so, an explorers outfit weighs in at about 8 pounds. I probably have the weight of the fused character be the higher of the two weights and then maybe add 5 pounds.

The synthesis is fusing with the Eidolon, so it is only a shell.
