Hello, my name is Elton Robb and I'll be your storyteller this evening. I am not able to bump my last recruitment in this area, so if you posted your interest in this campaign, post again.
I almost picked up Mwangi Expanse for Lost Omens today, but decided to wait on that. So this is what I propose:
* A hypothetical T.V. Show type campaign based on Sub-Saharan Africa.
* Jungle elves, jungle orcs, jungle dwarves, jungle trolls (from WoW RPG), it's limitless.
* Serpent folk would figure in the campaign.
* Places to come from: a city based on Timbuktu, Gao (of the Songhai Empire), etc.
* Have your characters wear colorful clothes based on the cultures of Western Africa (Niger, Gana, etc.)
PRODUCTION DESIGN
I hate to say this, but get a copy of the Mwangi Expanse or Heart of the Jungle. Look through them, feel inspired. Look at National Geographic shows on Africa (although that would mean getting on Disney Plus). Take a look at this Fall of Civilizations podcast for ideas.
Character Creation
25 points, 2 traits, average starting gold; 1st level. Any class allowed, except Samurai and Ninja. Unchained Summoner, Monk, Rogue, and Barbarian allowed.
Recruitment to end on March 31st.

Okay, just wanted to make sure! I kind of figured since you mentioned the Golarion Books on the subject, but couldn't be 100% sure.

GM: I'm inclined to make an Archer-Oradin using the Divine Hunter and Hospitaler Archetypes. This combo, however conflicts at 11th level, due to the Aura of Justice being modified by both. As an Oradin, and of course because this is PBP, the likelihood of ever reaching 11th level Paladin is decidedly low.
Will you let me use this combination?
Hmmm, maybe I'd just do Hospitaler, and be a melee Oradin. So many character concepts, so little time.

I think you should either stick to the paladin, or just take the hunter.

Thank you, did you have a ruling on chained summoner? Are background skills being used?
sorry if I'm asking alot of questions haha

I don't see anything wrong with Chained Summoner, and you can use background skills.

Zinnath the Scary |

I offer Zinnath the Scary!
A faerie dragon, who thinks/wishes he was something more.
He'll take Sorcerer and Rogue levels and be an Arcane Trickster, filling the rogue billet. Conceivably, he could take some blasting spells too at higher levels, but that's many adventures away.
As is, he is simply a faerie dragon right out of the MM, but with slightly different spells. He has exactly the same stats, skills, etc. as every other faerie dragon, but he DID take 2 traits! As a CR 2 critter, he shouldn't gain a level until the party makes level 3!!!

Submitting Nbazi Samba, A Halfling native to Nantambu.
for protection he has his trusty Eidalon, Rafiki, who appears as a magnificent and colorful Mandrill. Nbazi is always looking for adventure, and the next bit of trouble to get himself into, and Rafiki is always getting him out of it. Both his elder brother and Father do not approve of his black market associations and would prefer he try to apply his talents at Maggaambya bbut are too busy with the family business to press the matter any further.
He is unsure why Rafiki appeared to him as a child, but ever since he has felt no fear, and been able to channel to heal those he cares about in the way only the most devout temple priests usually can so for the most part his life is carefree and his family sees his abilities as a blessing and boon.

Sounds great. Does he have any brothers or sisters?
Quote:. . . elder brother and Father . . .So he does have family.
He does, I imagine a mother as well; I can flesh them out with names and basic character traits if you'd like.

Yumbulika |

She looks good (like the Avatar). Hmm, so serpentine bloodline. And you can't stand snakes. Like Indiana Jones I reckon. Would you like me to help you with your background a bit?
Yes please. I just sketched some basic info because I wasn't sure of the setting details, so I'd appreciate any help you could offer.

Seems more like a Sanctified Slayer Inquisitor fits your concept better.

Mongo's story
Born into poverty, on a struggling farm in remote Cheliax, it became clear early in Montelios's life that he would be exceptionally strong, and far from bright. Other children soon took to calling him "Mongo," and the name stuck. Still, his childhood was happy...
Until his parent's died in a plague. Orphaned at age 9, Mongo was captured on the streets, and sold into slavery. He found himself on an ocean liner, a laborer on a Chelaxian privateer. Resigned to his fate, Mongo labored away, never expecting anything better. Even as he grew to 14, he remained the lowest on the totem pole.
Then something amazing happened. Mongo's ship full of privateers was beset by a gang of pirates. The pirates won the day, and seeing him as a captive of sorts, chose to rescue him and bring him aboard their ship. It was then, that Mongo claimed and new life, and reclaimed himself. Mongo spent years learning to fight, and learning to channel the burning rage that now festered inside him into a weapon he could wield against oppression.
Just recently, Mongo's captain ran into a spot of trouble in town, and never returned. In-fighting split the crew and the ship was eventually impounded. Mongo found himself on his own again, tossed on the winds of fate, like every event he's lived through. Now, he aimlessly searches for something new. Perhaps even a chance to make his own choice, for the first time. For now though:
"Mongo is only pawn in game of life."
Mongo, human male

Deity: Besmara
Mongo vehemently hates the church of Urgathoa, blaming her for his parents' deaths.

Ukube the Wrestler |

Jacob Trier's submission: Ukebe the Wrestler, another native of Nantambu. Bit of a brute with a chip on his shoulder towards magic and spellcasters, but a good man to have on your side in a scuffle.
Crunch in the character bio.
While exploring, he wears a chain shirt under his loose shirt and a cestus on his left hand.
Born to honest and hardworking farmers in Nantambu, Ukube was raised on stories of Old-Mage Jatembe and his Ten Magic Warriors. Enraptured by the stories, he grew up with a burning desire to one day become a great magic warrior himself. The only problem was that it was soon abundantly clear to anyone that he had neither the intelligence or strength of personality to wield any kind of magic. Local students at the Magaambya arcane academy would mock him openly and use cantrips to heckle him as he spent his adolescence pretending to slay imaginary monsters with nonsens spells. What he lacked in magic potential, he made up in physical prowess, though, and hard field work helped him develop a formidable physical form. He began practicing wrestling and soon discovered that spellcasters had trouble using their magic to tease him when they had their face stuffed in the mud with both arms pinned behind their back.
As he grew into manhood, he loved frequenting markets and festivals, often winning wrestling contests. He basked in the admiration of fans, carroused and pursued romantic conquests (usually without much success). He often bragged of his physical might and mocked the spellcasters he had once wished to emulate. After a series of drunken brawls and unfortunate incidents, his family encouraged him to seek his fortune as an adventurer, before he destroyed the last tatters of the family reputation.
In the past couple of years, Ukebe has managed to make a decent living as a jungle guide and hired muscle. He still lives a carefree life, often squandering his money on drink and other pleasures. He never misses an opportunity to get into trouble.
Ukebe still dreams of becoming a great warrior, but now he prefers to rely on his physical might. He suffers from a bit of an inferiority complex towards magic and spellcasters, jaded by his childhood bullying, but secretly has a fantasy of being a true magic warrior. He would never admit this, however, and instead projects his insecurities as open disdain for magic.
He still loves stories with an almost childlike passion, and frequently draws inspiration from the deeds of mythical heroes when adapting his martial style.
He is brave and loyal, but his lack of intelligence and boisterous behavior often gets him into trouble.
