Ways to boost allies saving throws?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi guys, i'd like to build a support character who can boost allies saving throws but i don't know of many ways to do that.
Rerolls are kinda easy (witch fortune, dual cursed oracle misfortune, fateful channel...) but static bonus aren't.
If i remember correctly there's another channel feat which can give +2 and aid another SHOULD work on saves but rules don't specific HOW (which is bad considering an order of the dragon cavalier or samurai could work great with that).
I think unchained monk can share his own saves using ki or something similar.
Omdura can use the purify invocation, inquisitor can do the same with shared judgement.
Any other method?
Items, feats, class abilities... ANYTHING really.

Shake it off immediately comes to mind. Either talk your party into taking this teamwork feat, or take levels in Cavalier so you can give it to your allies.

If you're allowed to use 3rd party content, there are some pretty spiffy Psionic powers that allow you to make saves for allies, like Psychic Bodyguard and Metaconcert.

I have a Skald in wrath of he rigtheous who has the full world serpent tree, which is a +3 resistance bonus. He also hands our heroisms (+2 morale to saves), and casts moment of greatness a fair bit, increasing boni further.

I've built this character - he exists to give other people stacking plusses on attack and saving throws. Cleric of Milani with the Good domain (and Liberation because that gives AoE Freedom of Movement which is a trump card in resisting bad things, if not technically a saving throw.)

For starters you get the Touch of Good power which gives a 1 round boost to all of the target's saves equal to 1/2 your level.

Then you cast a whole bunch of spells that boost generic saves (Heroism, Good Hope, Prayer), or specific saves (Prot Evil, Remove Fear, Blessing of Fervour).

Finally you take the deity specific feat Beacon of Hope that turns your Channels into double strength blesses, which I think is the one you were looking at.

Giving the entire party +3 or 4 to hit and saving throws, and selected characters an extra boost on top of that as required is pretty easy.

The Archivist Bard has a performance that can give an insight bonus to AC and on attack rolls and saving throws against extraordinary, supernatural, and spell-like abilities. Filidh Bards have a performance that grants an insight bonus on Reflex saving throws and to AC. Bards also have access to the "Finale" spells, like Saving Finale, that can allow allies immediate rerolls of failed saves. Music of the Spheres, also a Bard spell, gives fast healing 5, resistance 10 to all energy types, and a +3 sacred bonus on all saving throws against poison and disease.

If you are looking to help with saves a bard may be a good choice. Countersong and distraction allow you to use a performance check and allows that to be used instead of a saving throw. It only affects a sonic, language dependent and some illusions but is still pretty good. Considering how high a bard can get his performance bonus that can often mean almost a guarantee of passing the save. Inspire courage gives bonus vs charm and fear. Inspire greatness gives a bonus to fortitude saves. Inspire Heroics gives you a +4 to saves and AC.

The bard also has a lot of spells that can buff the party. They get heroism as a 2nd level spell. The bonus is only +2 but it applies to nearly all d20 rolls.

Lv 9 Monster Tactician

You can grant up to 4 allies Lastwall Phalanx + Shake it Off with Shared Training (lasts 10min/lv) and your summons also have them thanks to Summon Tactics. So that's +2 to saving throws for every adjacent ally and you can spam out 1d4+1 allies with your Summon Monster. Use a Cauldron of Overwhelming Allies for special occasions.

Then choose the Animal domain and equip a Ring of Tactical Precision. Also, take Auspicious Birth (Conjunction). Park your ass next to an ally and they instantly get a +8.

The Karyukai Tea Set is very expensive, but if you can make a DC 30 diplomacy check (DC 26 if you are willing to spend some money) it's a 12-hour greater heroism for you and your allies.

The problem is that many of the bonuses we are listing are morale bonuses. For example the channel feat you were thinking of (Beacon of Hope) is a +2 morale bonus. Which means it doesn't stack with heroism, prayer, etc. So we need to hunt for the "best" luck bonus, competence bonus, sacred/profane bonus, etc.

And the definition of best is going to vary by poster. I think you are just looking for buffs that are solely dependent on your character, that it doesn't matter how your allies are built.

Mmm... that tea set, though... I have a Halfling gypsy, named Alice Pleasance Littletea, and she needs this in her life. Geisha Bards, which Alice happens to be, have a Tea Ceremony they can perform to dish out Bardic Performance. As one might guess, Alice Pleasance Littletea really likes her tea... it's even in her name. She also abuses the Tea of Transference to essentially have endless Bardic Performance/Channel/Ki/spells. One could say, that tea is her "thing".

Thank you for showing me this tea set.

there are different mechanisms and they are usually a function of a class, such as; feats, spells, class abilities...
spellcasting tends to have the widest variance of bonus types for stacking concern.
You can go divine caster but arcane casters have more tricks of different types so they can accommodate several different scenarios.
Feats are good but tend to be static and focused. Martials lose attacks when they take defensive feats.
Once you hit sacred/profane bonuses you're hitting mid+ levels.

The strongest boost to a party's saves would be a Skald with the Superstition Rage Power. Superstition grants 2+(level/4) to all saves against all spells, supernatural abilities, and spell-like abilities (non-stackign with the wills ave bonus), and Raging Song in itself grants a skaling bonus to fortitude saves (from the increased Con) and to +1 to will saves (non-stackign with Superstition, so only against Ex abilities).
This leaves the party unable to recieve friendly spells, but that's usually not an issue (just activate the song after party buffs like Haste), and PCs wanting to cast a spell on themself can simply opt to not get affected by the song for a round.

Alternatively, the [b]Twilight Seeker Skald's signature song Inspired Devotion grants a morale bonus to saving throws (plus a bonus to attack rolls). Doesn't stack with Good Hope, but you'd be able to boost allies' saves starting at 1st level. There's a bunch of rage powers with conditional bonuses that could be added to it, depending on what's common in the campaign.
