Hi folks,
We are 4 old time gamers from Canada. We all played together starting in junior high in the mid-80's in Fort McMurray (part of the frozen waste known as northern Alberta). Since then life has taken us other places - one still in Fort McMurray, one in Edmonton, one in Calgary and one idiot that ended up in Halifax, Nova Scotia! (It's me. I'm the idiot).
Anyway, it's been years but we'd like to get the band back together and play again. Some of us have continued playing on and off over the years. Some not. I've played the most I think. I've played every version of D&D and Pathfinder to some extent. I switched to Pathfinder during the D&D 4E fiasco and have never looked back (well, not much anyway). I really want to get into PF2E. So that's the system we're looking for.
The problem we have is that none of us can (or are willing to) GM. It's a time thing mostly. Between jobs, families, and various rituals dedicated to summoning some Old One or other, we just can't put the time in. But we want to play - preferably before one of those rituals actually succeeds.
We would like to meet once a week and we're pretty casual. I think we're looking at Sundays but we can try to work around someone's schedule. We have some experience with Roll20 but we could work with whatever VTT fits. We're leaning towards the Kingmaker AP right now but have not made a final decision.
Anyway, that's my pitch. I don't know if there's anyone out there willing to give us a shot. Or even if this is the right place for this. But if so, please message me and we'll see if we can make something work.
Thanks.

Well. This is my counteroffer!
I am not Canadian, so I hope that's not a deal-breaker. I've been there. Does that count?
Anyway, I run a long-term (like, since before you were in junior high) biweekly campaign (every other Sunday). We have a few players in the Virginia suburbs of Washington DC but also another in New Jersey. Until about a year ago, we had a member in London. We meet via Discord (for voice) and play using maps on Google slides (I'm experienced with many VTTs but find they get in the way of play).
We're currently in Book 6 of Age of Ashes but due to moves and work we're down to three players (plus me) and would love to gain some more!
Upside: One very experienced GM (been around since the Gygax days) and three experienced players who can help you get up to speed. We're also very consistent with play (I mean, it's been decades) so we're not going to fade away.
Downside: We're finishing up an adventure path and are engaged in high-level play just now. When this book campaign finishes, we'll start something low-level but that's months away. Also, if you join, we will ask you many questions about poutine. It's just a fact.
So, if you're interested, drop me a line via Direct Message. If you'd care to join us, I'd be happy to help you get up to speed on PF2e, maybe even run a low-level one-shot to help you find your PF2e feet.

Hi there fellow Canadians!!
Hi Tarondor!!
I see Tarondor has offered to take you under his wing (and that would be an amazing time for you all), but if you want to keep it low-level to start and maybe fumble through with a somewhat new to PF2 and VTTs, then perhaps I am your guy?! Been playing since races were classes (lol) and have decades DMing. New to VTT, but have played plenty of PBP games. ALso, from Alberta (Peace River) so another prairie guy (originally from S. Ontario, but don't hold that against me!!)
Just thought I would make an offer...but having Tarondor as you GM would be amazing as we have played together before and I have always enjoyed his games.
Thanks
Daniel

Thanks guys! I appreciate the responses!
Full disclosure, we've also had another offer from a friend of friend that we're currently contemplating. So we seem to have gone from nothing to an embarrassment of riches in a matter of hours!
I will discuss with our group and get back to you with an answer soon. You've been gracious enough to volunteer so I don't want to leave you hanging.
Also, feel free to question us about the delicious heart-attack-in-a-box that is poutine whether we join you or not!
Thanks,
- Mike

Hi guys,
The group has decided to go with the friend of a friend. Thanks again for your offers, I really appreciate it. I think you both would have been fantastic to play with and would have fit with our group well.
Tarondor, if you still need players in a few months for your new campaign let me know. If it works, some of our group may be willing to join a second campaign.
BTW Daniel, if you were in Peace River in '81-'83, and knew someone named Todd, you have already bumped into a member of the group. :)
Thanks again guys. If you don't mind, I'll keep you in mind if we need GMs again. And feel free to reach out if you ever need players.
