I have started running games at the local game store. The Venture Captain told me that Pathfinder Society wants us to set up the game to be offered on the Warhorn website.
i have volunteered to run a scenario next week but I have gone over the Warhorn website and it pretty easy to find a game to play but I am completely flummoxed on how to post a game for me to run.
Can someone please help me figure out Warhorn?

The first step would be to create an event to host the session.
Has the VC provided an event? Or asked you to create your own?

An Event is a container which contains games.
Examples of what an Event might be:
- The Event represents a convention run on certain fixed dates.
- The Event represents all of a particular Lodge's games as an ongoing concern, and there could be different Venues for each different game store in that Lodge's geographical area of influence.
- The Event represents a single game store's games as an ongoing concern and so there is a single Venue.
The schedule for an Event is organized by Slots. A Slot is a specific date/time interval associated with a Venue. For example, a Slot could be "4-8 pm on Sunday October 23, 2023 at Bob's Game Store".
One or more concurrent game Sessions may be scheduled in the same Slot. In its simplest form, a Session is a single table playing a particular Scenario.
You can also ask your questions on the Discord channel for Warhorn. There is a #help channel there for this purpose.

He did, but I'm not wanting to do an event. I'm just wanting to run a single game. Is there no way of doing that?
There is a feature request in the Warhorn roadmap to add what are called "Personal Games", which will do what I think you want (sessions without an event), but this feature isn't available yet.
My opinion is that if you're going to be a Society organizer for a store on an ongoing basis, you will find it convenient to have all past and future games listed under a single Event, but you should talk to your Venture Captain and follow the standard operating procedure established in your area.

update: someone in the group did just that. But if i had done one too it would have been chaos. I still think it is dumb to have it this way but i guess if the feature is one its way (not complete yet) I cannot complain other than it should be made clear that the feature is pending.
thanks to all who responded

The advantage of posting tables on Warhorn is greater visibility. A lot of people know about Warhorn and use it find tables. This is likely why the VC asked for your tables to posted there. With all the open gaming license happenings, more and more players are looking at 2e with fresh eyes.
Talk with your VC. Helping to organize is what we are here to do. Your VC should be there to help you walk through this process.
Once you understand how Warhorn works, it is a great way to keep advertise your tables.

Keep in mind that event has different meanings on the Paizo website than on Warhorn. On Warhorn, you will have multiple events because each table is an event. But for Paizo, an event is simply a way to report tables, which is VITAL. All tables need to be reported on the Paizo website.
