I think Paizo should launch a line of merch (T-shirts, pins, stickers, mugs; essentially as generic merch as you like) that anyone could buy, even if they're not PF or SF fans, that would contribute to the legal fund for the development and maintenance of ORC, as well as potential future legal battles against OGL1.1 (or OGL2.0 if that's what they're going with).
Paizo has put their flag down and are prepared to foot the bill for legal costs, and buying Paizo products can indirectly help with that, but it'd be nice to buy something that says "I am specifically making the purchase to help out", and such an option may be more attractive for people who maybe aren't that interested in Paizo itself.
I don't know, I just worry about the Paizo staff not getting raises because Wizards is costing them an arm an a leg in legal fees.
Also, I've already bought pretty much everything Paizo has to offer from their regular catalog.

I really want to wear all kinds of ORC paraphernalia where other gamers can see me.
Even if it's a temporary, interim logo, I'd love, love love, to have it.
[although I'd really like to have the Seelah image that you used for the announcement, but I can understand not wanting Paizo IP on the ORC marketing.]

I'm so glad that orcs, kobolds and goblins now each have their own niche in the community as a mascot. Goblins for Pathfinder, orcs for open gaming, and kobolds for the WORKERS.
Also, I don't think I would want any merch for ORC that took such a hostile, destructive tone as "an orc killing a wizard". But I'd love merch more focused on what we're all building together!

As a kobold, I'm in favor. As a catgirl, I have to stand up for my fellow anime protagonists.

They can make more than one design for different tastes, but it sure feels like we just went through a war. GOL 1.1 wasn't created with nonlethal damage in mind. I don't see the need to edit out the battle scenes. ORC the battle and ORC the community builder are both strong images.
Mother Rat vs. Rat God.
I love it.

Honestly, if you're really stumped, I'd buy stuff from the other ORC publishers! They could honestly probably use the revenue even more than Paizo.
Good idea. Already get most of Legendary's PF1 products, and most all the Pathfinder Infinite ones, but could peruse further.

I am literally scratching my head for the best way to support Paizo/1.0a/ORC as a dedicated PF1 player. My best idea so far is "Buy PF2 books for other people", which feels fairly indirect.
Merch would be a great option.
Ah ha! I *subscribed* for someone who plays PF2, that works.

From another thread
What would be nice is something to buy that would ORC that you can wear like a pin, t-shirt or patch or something
Or like mentioned before a sticker or something.

Actually, I am rooting for WotC to fold so fast that the ORC license goes from "necessary to save 3pp publishers from WotC's lawyers" to "nice to have in case they threaten to pull this crap again".

From what we have seen so far, I feel it is highly unlikely.
And no-one in the 3pp sector will trust WotC again for a long long time.

Yup. Hasbro and WotC executives have ventured too far out onto this branch, and their egos are too big to admit a bunch of lowly nerds got them to do anything.
They would much, MUCH rather burn the whole franchise down and escape on a golden parachute, than admit fault.

I'll add that I would love to purchase something to help out. A tote bag with a cartoony orc slaying a cartoony wizard plastered all over the front would go over great at the hobby shop.

The problem with WotC is they keep trying the same thing every other edition. I think the big win would be if Wotc signed on to ORC but that is not likely to happen.

I said I was rooting for it to happen -- not that I was expecting it. Although there is a remote chance they may try to do the right thing after every alternative has failed. Still, they are a really long way from meeting the conditions that would let me trust them again.

Seems Kobold Press have Project Black Flag tee shirts for sale.
Can we get some ORC merch please?!?

Hopefully, they don't have a long list of alternatives.
I think the most likely outcome is OGL 1.0a stays in place for content already printed. Some version of OGL 2.? for new D&D 3pp content and ORC for anyone that can avoid using the new OGL.
One thing ORC has going for it is it's got a great marketable name, or this thread wouldn't be here.

I like it, greater design for their t-shirt.
