This Dimension Door a Touch Spell?

Rules Questions

Touch spells, how many ally’s can I touch I have a DM that is saying it’s a full Rd to use a touch spell to effect ally’s. Say I’m 20ft away from 4 of my ally’s, can I move then cast the spell to affect my allies(when they r in reach) and myself like dimensional door to teleport out of there. Is this the same with communal spells like protection from evil?

First of all, dimension door is not in fact a touch spell. Its listed range is long, and its target is you and touched objects or willing creatures. There was a thread about this recently https://paizo.com/threads/rzs43px3?Dimension-Door-and-Spectral-hand-interac tion There was a post on it about how touching works.

The spell also uses the plural for both objects and creatures. That is a pretty clear indication you can bring more than one object or creature with you.

So is touching willing creatures part of the casting of the spell or dose it require an action to do?
Or is it up to the DM?

For actual Touch spells, it says 'You can touch up to 6 willing targets as part of the casting, but all targets of the spell must be touched in the same round that you finished casting the spell.'.

Dimension Door, however, specifically says 'All creatures to be transported must be in contact with one another, and at least one of those creatures must be in contact with you'. So it's not like a touch spell where you're tapping people on the shoulder.

Dimension door work like a daisy chain. As long as the creatures are touching or being touched by you, or someone touched by you or being touched by you they can come subject to the maximum number of creatures based on your caster level.

You don’t even need to touch any of the creatures, they can be touching you. Depending on the circumstances the GM might require some or all of the characters to spend some sort of action.

see Dim Door & SpctrlHand thread, Dec 2022 that just talked about Touch Spells and touching/(sharing the spell effect with others).
The FAQ is probably of interest to you if you cast a Touch spell.

If you're 20ft from 4 of your allies, then you would have to use a Move Action to get within 5ft of at least one of them and then cast Dimension Door as a Standard. Just like Mysterious Stranger described it, it can work like a Daisy Chain if you want. You can touch one of your allies, and then as long as your other 4 allies are touching each other, it will teleport all of you.

Also, for clarity: yes you must be touching, but no it is not a "touch" spell.
