Otherworldly Acumen

Rules Discussion

It says you can a spell of 2nd level, but I ask you this my fellow adventurures, could I take a level 1 spell instead?

Any 1st level spell heightened to 2nd level counts as a second level spell for all purposes, including counteract level, what slot it requires to cast, and so on. So I don't see why not.

I took this feat with my Elf Wizard for a 2nd level Longstrider spell (since the feat I took prior to this was from the Primal school), so I could have a permanent 10 foot movement speed boost throughout the majority of my adventuring day.

I was hoping to acquire true strike?

You can have a Heightened True Strike as your spell, if it's of the same tradition provided by your previous feat.

Thank you! Do you know if Otherworldly Magic (level 1) would qualify as the prerequisite for Otherworldly Acumen?

As the description specifically lists Otherworldly Magic as a means for access to Otherworldly Acumen, I would say yes.

:)

Good catch! Lol

You could also take Share Thoughts to qualify for Otherworldly Acumen if you want the Occult list, and Wildborn Magic/Elemental Wrath for access to the Primal list.
