Casting Wish Every Day

Rules Questions

My wizard just made it to level 17 and can cast his first ninth level spell. So could I use my arcane bond to cast Wish once per day every day, without even having to prepare it?

Provided it is in your spellbooks, yes, but you still need to pay the material component.

Yes.

However, if you were a 20th-level arcane bloodline sorcerer (or 16th-level with a robe of arcane heritage), you could create a "staff of wishful thinking" with limited wish and wish in it that would allow you to sacrifice 3 levels of spell slots to cast wish, forever, without having to pay the material component costs.

That's what I would do if building a high level wish master.

Do I need to pay the material component though? I don't have to prepare the spell and can cast it straight out of my spellbook.

Yes. Casting via your arcane bond is still casting, all components actions etc are the same as casting a prepared spell.

Yes. It is not a spell-like ability. It is more like a free floating spell slot.
