Tyrant Champion - Good or Bad PC Concept

So I frequently build up 1-4 PCs for each AP in the hopes that one day I get to play one lol. So, I was wondering if folks had an opinion on the Evil Champion/Tyrant Cause. I was thinking that having a LE PC alignment could be great for the campaign, but I was wondering if some GMs could weigh in on whether the evil/negative/mental damage will be a distinct disadvantage. I assume there will be lots of mindless undead, but I wonder if the 2nd book/3rd book or higher start taking a departure from endless fights with things immunity to mental damage.

Alternatively, is there a way to get rid of that mindless trait/mental resistance to make a fun intimidation build or is that just a fool's errand?

I was hoping to incorporate a Tyrant Champion as well to be a part-time NPC companion, but unfortunately the issue with mindless enemies persists as the AP continues. It’s not a horrible option mechanically, but a lot of the time the abilities specific to your subclass are going to be worthless.

It sort of feels like Blood Lord fits better for "I am a civically minded member of a Lawful Evil society" than "I am evil to the point of being absurdly selfish." Like your antagonists aren't really do-gooders, at least through what we've seen.

Like your basic goal is to prevent destabilizing the region and maintain Geb's mutually beneficial relationship with its neighbors.

The decision to make the campaign appropriate for Neutral PCs means that the overall feel for the PCs is Lawful with Evil tendencies rather than Lawful Evil.

The player's guide even makes the point that Lawful Good PCs *can* work in some situations, but CG and NG PCs are inappropriate. So it's pretty clear the intention is "this is a Law AP in a Lawful Evil Society."
