Help with some action economy

Advice

I'm building a free archetype frilled lizardfolk fighter with bard then provocateur dedications.

Biggest thing I'm looking at is dirge of doom. Inspire courage. Harmonize and call and response.

I have little experience with bards.

Am I right it's two actions to harmonize inspire courage+dirge of doom?

Call and response, does this just freely persist round after round do long as a team member can spend an action to keep it rolling?

Does the location of dirge then change?

Idea is to have a Doom metal fighter and the party becomes his band

No.

Harmonize is a Metamagic action. It makes it so that the next composition spell you cast doesn't immediately end when you cast a second one.

You still have to pay the action (and focus point) cost of casting each of those other two composition spells. So Harmonize + Dirge of Doom + Inspire Courage is three actions.

No.

Only one ally can respond to a given call, and responding to the ally's response has no additional effect.

I don't think so. It doesn't say that the origin point of the spell changes. It only says that the duration extends.

So call and response only lasts for one response.

So it let's you skip a single action every other round.

But costs me two actions as it's a meta magic.

So maybe I should just focus on dirge. And maybe call and response.

Typically the idea is that an actual bard gets dirge at 6 and either an archetype bard will have lingering composition and inspire at level 8 or you begin relying on heroism or other sources of status bonus.

If you don't have this you'll want to switch to dirge at 12 anyway and retrain inspire into occult breadth if you're also doing the casting feats.

With FA you can easily xploit it with the marshal dedication.

Get the +1 aura and then use the action to cast dirge of doom ( which will be available by lvl 12 as dedication, iirc).

Before that you might reverse the stances, getting the dreadful marshal one + inspired courage.

You will save an action ( though you will be trading any other stance for the marshal one).
