Either way, I do agree its extremely obnoxious to tell other people play different systems than their preferred one
I think that's a matter of personal attitude. I love when people suggest new things to me. I get to discover something new and a person gets to share something that interests them. Win win

Heh, now that Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition is a thing, mebbe folks could go and recommend that (respectfully, it goes without saying!)... instead of PF2e. ;p

It's obnoxious to stick your head into a livestream (or real life table of 5e) and say "You know what's ALSO fun? Pathfinder 2e".
It's not obnoxious (or unreasonable in human communication) to propose solutions to people kvetching about issues with 5e.
If you incessantly talk about a system's flaws and whenever someone throws out a solution (up to and including "have you tried not playing D&D?") you just shoot them down, you're just whining.

You can overcomplexify (sniglet) ANY game system just like you can oversimplify (existing word) ANY game system with optional/modified/gm adjudicated rules.
Bro. I used to watch that Sniglets bit on Not Necessarily the News. Love it.
