Would Conceal a dagger and Quick Draw be sufficient? From a mechanical perspective. Flavor as wrist blades as desired.

Yeah, it's not a specific weapon. The closest you're going to get is a dagger, concealed via stealth skill, that you quick draw. As suggested above.

What is your player’s feelings about being a robot assassin? Because at level 5, automaton characters can get the Integrated Armament feat.

Android can get Internal Compartment at level 1.

I think I remember either a feat or a piece of equipment that says that making an attack against someone who hasn't seen you use the weapon before causes them to be flat-footed to the attack. I can't remember what it is currently though.

Came over here from the thread on the new search on thought I’d take a stab at looking for this one. I did a complex search for ”flat-footed” AND “weapon”, and activated the Item and Feat Filter Types.

A quick look shows either Surprise Strike from Weapon Improviser or Subtle Shank from Rogue. Subtle Shank in particular seems pretty close to acting like hidden blade, though it’s a bit high level with a rough action cost if your player just wants the flavor of a hidden blade.

Ah. Surprise Strike from Weapon Improviser is looking familiar. I'll bet that is what I was vaguely remembering.

It doesn't really match what the OP is looking for, but at least I will be able to sleep tonight without this bugging me.

Lobbed Attack from the Juggler is also very similar to Surprise Strike in that regard.

The Bladed Gauntlet from Knights of Lastwall is described as having "a dagger attached to a retractable mechanism ... integrated in this gauntlet’s dorsum," which is how Eivor's hidden blade works. The issue is it being a martial weapon that rogues aren't proficient with, but they could be an investigator for a similar progression or the GM could be kind and just grant them proficiency.

The Human Feat Unconventional Weaponry can help with the proficiency problem if the GM is okay with calling the Bladed Guantlet "common in another culture."

tell your buddy that a realy dagger is way superior, so much that they changed the wrist dagger in later games just to a fancy sheath for a normal dagger
