Will content we already own be available on Pathfinder Nexus?

Paizo General Discussion

Hi, not sure if this is the right discussion board so apologies if it's not. I was wondering if there was any word as to whether or not the content individuals already own will be available on Pathfinder Nexus. Specifically, I'm referring to PDFs that have been purchased via the Paizo Website. Would we be able to just log onto Pathfinder Nexus and have access to that content, or would we have to pay for it all over again?

The Exchange

If you've already got the PDF for a book that you want the Nexus version of, through Paizo Connect, you can get the price of the PDF taken off the Nexus price, so you're just paying for the Nexus upgrade.

Conversely, if you but something on Nexus that you don't already own on PDF and your accounts are linked via Paizo Connect, you'll get the PDF added to your paizo.com downloads.

edit:
Just read more of that thread and it looks like that's not correct

Mark, it seems like this is only taking off $10 not the $15 that 2E PDFs cost, do you know if that's intentional?

Each partner using Paizo Connect gets to set their own discount levels, and those discounts won't always be for the full cost of the PDF.

It's too late for me to edit my original post, but it should say that you'll get a discount if you own the PDF, not that the full cost of the PDF will be discounted. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Awesome, thanks for the info! It sucks we'd still have to pay, but I understand the reasoning behind it, a discount is nice however!

I was really hoping subscribers would be able to avoid the DnD Beyond situation of having to pay for things we already own, especially since we already have them in digital form. I can't see myself ever using Pathfinder infinite when I have the pdfs from subs and Pathbuilder exists. :/

To clarify for readers, Pathfinder Nexus provides online tools on Demiplane and Pathfinder Infinite is a marketplace for publishers on DriveThruRpg. Both are new programs, but they are quite different.

People really need to get out of the mindset of "buying the things we already have again" for this type of thing. No, you do not own this product. You own another product that has all the same static text, but this product builds on that and adds much more automatic functionality.

The developers making that deserve to be paid for their work. Full stop. Surely that's something we can all get behind here.
