Hello everyone.
I've managed to get my hands on two interesting books, DM Yourself and DM Yourselves. It's been more than a month now, and I still haven't managed to start a solo campaign. Thus I thought "Why not play RotRL with a GMless group?", and now I'm here wondering if there would be enough people interested to form a 4-men party and tackle this AP I had in my closet (literally) for years now. If I manage to find three other people interested in this little project I will put up a recruitment thread while I re-read those two books (since they're not created with PbP in mind I need to read them thoroughly to see if there's any need for adaptation).
Thank you in advance for your time.

I'm intrigued, since RotRL was the first PbP I did on these boards, but it only got through the first book...though I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of being GMless, if only wondering how NPCs are handled. NPC interactions are part of what I enjoy about the APs...

I am very much onboard! I have GMd it on the past and would love to try to play it with other fellows, even in a GMless mode - assuming we get a good RP group going :)
I also haved GMd RotRL in the past, and played a bit of it as a PC too, but I really want to finish it and since it's pretty hard to find a GM willing to play it I thought I could as well try this new way to play (at least for me).

GMless play is a new land for me too, so I'm still trying to understand how to apply it to PbP. I think either I'm going to play a "GM-Lite" role, or we're going to take turns in using the GMless rules to make the adventure progress. Either way I'm up for it, don't mind doing a bit of GMing if I get a chance to roleplay a bit too.

I actually started a solo go on RoR two years ago. I was in the final part of book 2 when I got sidetracked by other solo projects. Still consider it "on hold". I used a combination of the system in DM yourself (reading info as far as possible only as a player would get it) and the mythic fate chart (without the scene setup rules, CF always on 5, random events only on doubles). Apart from the murder mystery in part 2 - it is impossible not to spoiler yourself on that - it worked quite well. I compensated in part 2 by leaving crucial "investigation decicions" of my PCs to the oracle until they unveiled the killer.

Ok, a bit of an update about this little project.
I'm going to start (hopefully) soon a GMless campaign with a group of friends. We are three players total, so we will play three PCs and a sidekick. The campaign is The Shackled City so nothing easy, and the other two players are almost completely new to PF. I want to use this as a stress test to see the lengths to which I can take a game like this.
When I'll have had enough experience with this test campaign I will come back here to see if there's still interest, if everything goes well.
Anyway thank you for your interest, we'll see you soon.
