Adopted versatile heritage?

Homebrew and House Rules

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I had this idea today, and am now baffled as to how this isn't an official option.

Literally just a versatile heritage that grants you the adopted ancestry general feat at level 1.

Although maybe it would just devolve to gnomes adopting the entirely of golarion for flickmace proficiency.

I like it, because while it's less powerful than the human versatile heritage it gives more possibilities in terms of background/flavor/lore.

It also would compete with lvl 1 feats which can be just chosen at lvl 1 ( for example, a half orc could either take darkvision or another racial feat, like weapon proficiency ).

I think that a high percentage of players would probably do that.

As for me, I think that would be the main goal of every living being to stay alive. Getting 10 reach as well as 1d8 and one among the best weapon critical specialization available is something which would definitely increase the chance to survive and, because so, I see nothing wrong in going for it.

It was just paizo's fault.

There is Adaptive Anadi. It isn't a versatile heritage that is available to all ancestries though.
