If we get more themed bestiaries, my top hope is for aberrations, the Dominion of the Black, or both together.

Lords of Madness 2, please?

Oooh. Yeah. "Aberration-based bestiary, plus a decent helping of player options" would absolutely make my buy list. Maybe a versatile heritage? I always did like the stretchy-limbed aberrant bloodlike feats from old 3.x. And yes. That would be the place for aberrant eidolon.

I would personally go over the moon for an archetype to let us become a Worm that Walks. I've wanted to be one ever since I read the sidebar about some of them being redeemed, or trying to be.

Worm That Walks is better than Lich. Yeah, I said it.

Me, I like both :-)

And yes to Book of Aberrations, oozes and Fleshcrafting for PCs.

Maybe Worm that Walks as an ancestry, so I can play a character made entirely out of spiders.

Might be a decent place to fit in swarm eidolon, once they figure out how to properly implement that. Would go well with swarm PC. "Oh, I'm not a summoner. I'm just a pile of giant spiders that can split itself into two parts."

I think you really could fit it into an ancestry, too. You'd have to save the "discorporate into an actual swarm" part until later, but a pile of spiders who are all clustered together and not swarming isn't all that different from a standard person... other than the immunity to precision damage. Even that could be handled if you suppose that initially you have a small number of enlightened spiders who are the ones holding the rest of the swarm together

Liberty's Edge

I will know no rest until we have an Ancestry (or a Versatile Heritage) that is a swarm of coins.

Ah, yes, the Gold Baron's archnemesis: The Copper Piece Peasant.

Liberty's Edge

I also like the visual where the dragon IS the hoard.

A Gold dragon of course.

Oooh. a Gold dragon matriarch on what, after a moment's inspection, is quite clearly a pile of young and baby gold dragons because she's just had that many kids.

No. Wait. We should really get back on topic. Book of the Dead, right? So... that would make her a Ravener, I suppose, after she's gone through the ritual, and then returned to her peculiar hoard.

"You'll never catch me, Copper!"

"We'll see about that, Quick Silver! Your days as a nefarious numismatologist are at an end!"

Edit: Also, actually on-topic, I'm a bit surprised we didn't get a wight announced as one of the archetypes. They're one of the kinds of undead that got a trait all to themselves so their not being included is slightly surprising when you think about it. They're about of a power level with ghouls, as well, and are also regularly in possession of their faculties.

There was a module in Ad&d that had exactly that. It was delightful.

Wights always seemed sort of... bland, to me. I mean, they're basically somewhere between orc and ogre, plus undead with a lifedrain touch. That's it. I feel like there's just not enough there to really build a decent ancestry around. Ghouls have a lot more to work with. Like, you might be a bit surprised, but is there anyone who's actually disappointed?

I'm sure someone, somewhere is, though I'm personally not too fussed. I also wouldn't be surprised if wights, or wraiths, or even zombies made it into the backmatter of one of the Blood Lords adventure paths as a new archetype or the like.

That's what I'm hoping for, at least, because I like the idea of playing as lots of different kinds of undead.
