Ascetic Form & Ki powers

Rules Questions

The Ascetic line is not very well worded, even the author came out having to clarify what the three feats all mean.

I have a few questions I am seeking clarification on

Ascetic Form

You can use the chosen melee weapon with any class ability that can be used with an unarmed strike, such as an unchained monk’s style strike ability. In addition, you are treated as a monk with a level equal to your character level for the purpose of determining the number of times per day that you can use feats with uses per day that depend upon your monk level, such as the Stunning Fist or Perfect Strike feats.

I want to know whether I can use these Ki powers with a quarterstaff or other monk weapon?

1) Elemental Fury: Electric

D20 wrote:
A monk who selects this ki power must select one type of energy: acid, cold, electricity, or fire. Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. The monk can expend 1 point from his ki pool as a swift action to imbue his natural attacks with this energy, causing them to deal 1d6 points of damage of the chosen type for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 his monk level. A monk must be at least 6th level before selecting this ki power.

2) Blood Crow Strike

D20 wrote:
Your unarmed strikes release blasts of energy in the form of bolts of fire or glowing red crows, which fly instantaneously to strike your target. You can make unarmed strike or flurry of blows attacks against the target as if it were in your threatened area; each successful attack deals damage as if you had hit it with your unarmed strike, except half the damage is fire and half is negative energy (this negative energy does not heal undead). For example, if you are a 14th-level monk, you can use a flurry of blows to attack five times, creating one energy crow for each successful attack against the target, and dealing 2d6 points of damage (plus appropriate unarmed strike modifiers) with each crow.

That's actually a tough one (tough two?^^), as both questions touch upon grey areas.

The first question is actually in regard to Ascetic Style. The problem is that Elemental Fury does not in itself affect unarmed strikes. It does because of the Monk's Unarmed Strike (Ex) class feature, but it's not clear whether that one gets transferred by Ascetic Style - there is some ambiguity as what constitutes "augmenting" unarmed strikes. I think the ability to be affected by things buffing natural weapons does count as an augmentation, which means it's applied to the weapon by Ascetic Style, and thus Elemental Fury works for it, too.

The second question is about whether the effect of an SLA gained by a class feature counts as a class feature. For sanity's sake, I say yes, which means you can use Blood Crow Strike with a weapon via Ascetic Form (and you do indeed need AForm, not just AStyle).

Also, my usual copy-paste text of what Ascetic Style does:
Monk class features that now work with the weapon:
● Stunning Fist
● Ki Pool's DR penetration
● The scaling damage (works like Warpriest's Sacred Weapon, i.e. you chose either one)
● Adding full strength mod to dmaage with off-hand attacks (almost never relevant).

Other things that now work with the weapon:
● Feats that enhance US, e.g. Possessed Hand
● Feats that have IUS as a prereq, e.g. Hex Strike
● Traits that enhance US, e.g. Bullied
● Spells that enhance US, e.g. Magic Fang
● Items that enhance US, e.g. Amulet of Mighty Fists (multiple enhancement bonuses don't stack, but other magic weapon abilities can be stacked with them)

Monk class features that do not work with Ascetic Style:
● The extra attack from Ki Pool
● Style Strikes
● Ki Blocker, One Touch, and Quivering Palm
● Flurry of Blows (relevant for tri-point double-edged sword, urumi, and the versatile design modification).
All of these are 'unlocked' by Ascetic Form, though.

Thing I'm not sure about:
● The ability to deal nonlethal damage without penalty (on one hand, that basically comes from the general rules for US, but on the other hand, it explicitly mentioned in the Unarmed Strike class feature)
● Weapon Finesse
● Effects that only apply to natural attacks - the "is treated as (...) a natural weapon [blah]" line does make US better, but only indirectly.
