Help with Sprite Gunslinger for PFS2e

Advice

Since the Sprite appeared as a playable ancestry I always thought of making a gunslinger for PFS2e, the idea is to have a fun cowboy like character riding on his corgi mount, who can effectively contribute in combat.
Nyktera
Stats: 8 18 14 14 14 10
Way of the sniper
Class feat: Munition's crafter
Sprite feat: Corgi mount
Weapon: Jezail
Skills: Stealth for sure

2: Fake out
4: Alchemical Shot
6: Sniper's Aim
8: Munitions Machinist or Grit and tenacity
10: Called Shot
12: Shooter's camouflage or Unshakable Grit

Any ideas, comments, welcome

Thought of Unexpected Sharpshooter, but seems like not approved for PFS2e

Gunslinger, like all martials, has a level 1 feat, so you're missing that.

Also, you stole my stat spread! (kidding, obv) Actually, this is basically identical to a build I've been kicking around for the same purposes:

1-Munitions Crafter
2-Fake Out
4-Alchemical Shot
6-Sniper's Aim
8-Grit and Tenacity(?)
10-Called Shot/Penetrating Fire

...you're even using the same gun.

Are you me? :P.

I will note that camouflage has no real use on a Sprite - wait one more level and you get once per hour Invisibility 4 from an ancestry feat.

The main point I'm unsure on is Alchemical Shot, since Sniper's Aim at 6 is also a 2-action attack with appealing bonuses and all. Munitions Crafter is still useful for raw ammo (and not having to do book keeping on it), but I saw Cover Fire put to good use in Headshot the Rot. Guess what mindless enemies aren't going to do? Free +1 to hit. It's not a flourish either, so you can use it on any strike. If I didn't take Alchemical I'd probably use Risky Reload or Running Reload at 4 for the economy.

Scarab Sages

Near as I can tell, Unexpected Sharpshooter is legal. The only Archetype from the book listed as Limited is Artillerist, and the only one listed as Restricted is Demolitionist.

Liberty's Edge

Be careful, there is no such thing as negligible bulk for sprites so your ammo stores are going to count against you're already super tiny bulk limitations.

Cannoneer background lets you choose Dex and gives Hefty Hauler, which could help with the bulk. Plus the visual of a Sprite operating a cannon is fun.

Don’t forget “Standard” availability doesn’t give you access to non-Common options, so the Uncommon archetype Unexpected Sharpshooter still needs something to grant access (there are some with AcP boons, so maybe there).

Scarab Sages

Right, but that's very different from it not being legal. if you're from Alkenstar, Dongun Hold, or The Shackles, then you have access to almost all of the Uncommon archetypes in the book.

Characters with a Home Region of Alkenstar, Dongun Hold, or the Shackles have access to all black powder guns, ammunition and related accessories; and all archetypes from Chapter 3 with the exception of beast gunner, fireworks technician, and spellshot.

So just pick one of those as your Home Region (or buy the World Traveller boon).

True but your mount can carry spare ammo, and it is neglible there. Surely a Gunslinger Sprite has to have saddle bags on the Corgi.

Your ammo is just going to be L for the set of 10 (or 5 for some weapons) instead of -. It's not a huge deal, that's what arrows already are.

Also worth noting that it's offset by halving the bulk of larger items. Your 1 bulk armor becomes L, for instance.

Can also ask party members to tote some of it, considering it's negligible bulk for them if you throw extra sacks of ammo in their backpack.

Thanks for all the help. With unexpected Sharpshooter available, I might go

2: Unexpected Sharpshooter
4: Lucky Escape
6: Sniper's Aim
8: Unbelievable Luck
10: I meant to do that
12: Chain reaction

Would this be better or would I shoot myself into the foot?

Fake Out is really good. It’s a use for your reaction that you’ll get to use every turn. And it’s a good use. So (IMO) it’s hard to pass up.

(It won’t work if you’re hidden, though, so if you’re planning on being hidden a lot, you can skip it.)
