I've locked the thread once more for moderation. At this point, I'm going to leave it locked, as many posts made after moderation last night have devolved into personal harassment/baiting territory.

I've cleaned up some harassing side discussions, some baiting posts, and the associated quotes.

The short answer is that Paizo changed the word. Why, what the history of the word is, whether it was warranted if you will use it, doesn't matter. Paizo deemed it something that needed to be changed and did it. Language is a living, evolving entity and we've evolved it. At this point, I'm leaving the thread locked, as I don't believe any further discussion will foster a positive, welcoming environment.
