Subtle psionics

A major feature of psionics in many forms of media is that they can be used subtlety (stranger things comes to mind, with El's powers not having any manifestations at all), so it seems strange to me that the psychic doesn't have access to conceal/silent spell or a similar metamagic feat. I know I could multiclass to wizard or witch, but this feels like something that should be available without multiclassing

Agreed. I thought this was would be addressed by the substitution of verbal actions, but alas the text says they create the same auditory and visual manifestations when they cast spells that other spellcasters do.

I think generally they avoid including feats that exist for multiple classes already in the playtests so as to get more feedback on the new material. I'd be very surprised if Conceal Spell wasn't on the final psychic's feat list.

Oh well, if having all components replaced is cemented as a no-deal, guess the other option is to chime with the survey to include an early level metamagic to remove that pesky Somatics ASAP... >:)
