Deleted posts and quotes that broke community guidelines. They are linked at the bottom of the page if anyone would like to read them over. At this point, I'm going to lock this thread for 24 hours so people can take a breather. When we reopen the thread, it is so those interested in having a conversation about how psionic themes appeared in Secrets of Magic may post. This is my warning, though. If the thread veers off course again, we will shut it down permanently.

I went to post my own review of the Tome of Psionics over at Drive Thru rpg. it's gone. The author's youtube channel is gone. His deviant art webpage is dead. The Discord channel he made to discussion the Current revision project, is gone.

I do not know the guy. Can someone check to see that he's not suicidal or anything?

They probably just blocked your posts with that extension.

now all I have is a book - a book that PFS refuses to acknowledge or allow.

Get in line. Ponyfinder isn't any closer to approved, approaching 10 years. Fortunately, my players manage to enjoy it despite this unfortunate fact.

PFS is a marketing engine for Paizo. This is not a negative comment. They were smart and put in the work to build it, and now it humms softly, producing for them. Good on them.

Do I wish I could get in on that action? Sure, but, it's not made for me, or any dev who isn't Paizo. I have learned to accept this.

The writing will continue.

what? no posts telling this guy to get a pink onesie, and give himself a clop-job? where are the bullies now?

The post I'm replying to will certainly get deleted, but - for one, nobody has bullied or abused the author of Tome of Psionics. Critiquing the work is not bullying.

Second - I have never seen David be rude, dismissive, or downright abusive to...anyone, really - even if they reviewed his work poorly. The attempted insults in your post towards him are uncalled for by any stretch of the imagination.

So you like david, because he doesn't defend himself or his work?

You can defend the quality of a work without threatening and belittling people. Chill.

Heck, I'm not even sure WHAT he's threatening me with at this point lol

He has screencaps - of my posts that are still there? It's not like I've edited or deleted anything.

I find it funny how he's attacking and harassing people constantly but doesn't see the irony in his accusations.

I really just wanted to leave things be and let him tire himself out with his rants, but the insults against David were uncalled for - he's been an active and helpful member of the 3pp community for a while now, and doesn't deserve the vitriol.

Aw, thanks! I try to be good. This is a confusing thread all around. I just wanted to chime in that PFS is for Paizo. If that changes, do lemme know, but it is what it is until then.

I just want people to have fun playing, with my books or not.(preferred with my books though, not gonna lie)

Removed another series of posts. One final request to keep the thread on topic or it will be shut down. Thank you for your cooperation.

I'll check the book.

Aracheen- wood elves forced to survive in deep underground caverns due to a cataclysm... they devolved and became more like the giant insects hunting them. I guess this is a "Drow alternative"?
A'Zon- A hurricane tossed fleet of warrior women, who survive on an isle to this day because a magical artifact (*The Motherstone) gives them only baby girls of superior health and beauty... can you say "Wonder woman"?
Boskop- A human off shoot with swollen skulls and the Pepck-C gene. gray pallid skin, thinning hair if any, might have solid black eyes. The gene causes metabolism to run on "fatty tissue", like brains. I guess this is the Mind flayer alternative/non-I.P. violating.
Dremori- millennia of planar exiles, adapted to an outter plane of chaos. Their bodies changed to replace keratin with metals; their hair is like wire, their fingernails are metal, the iris of their eyes is coated in metal, any scars they have or gain, are metal. They are fanatical about law and order. They are equally terrified of chaos in their lives. I don't know what these may resemble, likely original.
Feraelen- Bipedal dogoids (*or Furry kobolds?) described as "the worst traits of dogs and feral children". a small ancestry of savage, pack hunting,...

Thank ya for checking up and listing off on those new psionic races/ancestries, RoyAlan- much appreciated. :)

The Dremori kinda sound a bit like the Githyanki/Githezerai in inspiration to me, the Gian seem to map close to Dark-Sun/XPH Half-Giants in general appearance if not demeanor, the Satoran share some of the Plane of Dreams-exiled stuff with Eberron's Kalashtar [in reverse], and the Yan... they kinda give me that DC's Bottled City of Kandor/Dr. Shrinker vibe. ;)

I wonder if the recent announcement of the Pathfinder Infinities thing on DriveThruRPG might see his work possibly getting retooled over to there.

I'm surprised that they haven't already made some Charity Boon that allows for 3pp stuff to be used for PFS; but that prolly involves alotta legal wrangling to deal with- not to mention having to get support from the PFS volunteers to even buy-in to something like that.
